Yeah, I saw some burly Chicago firefighters get gentle and loving when they came to help get four ducklings out of a sewer on a busy Chicago street. So kind!
My favorite part was how the ducklings would not give up when trying to jump up the seawall. They just kept trying until they got up, because they had to in order to survive. Compare that to kids who are quick to give up because life is easy for them, being taken care of by someone else.

I don’t care what anyone says, there was a look of understanding in that mother duck’s eyes after you returned her baby. She realised that you helped and her fear was overcome with relief, but she didn’t know what to do with it.
