- Unboxing, setting up, and testing a Sceptre C305b-200UN1 21:9 Ultrawide monitor
I bought it from Amazon for $300 at time of upload, but it can jump anywhere from $280-$350.

I just got this monitor mainly for everyday/gaming use and I'm excited to use it!.
How did it go with the monitor man and dose it have a built in crosshair option?
@@MarcosOrtiz-eh2gb Best monitor I have ever owned with a pristine pic quality!, I dont think it has that tho.
I also watched that video of Norway, the music is soooo relaxing from that video
I have this monitor and I have had it for about 9 months, here are my thoughts
Good Things: It’s ultrawide so it makes games look sooooo good. It’s curved so you can see stuff on the edges better. The bezels are thin and the stand and back of the monitor look really cool
Bad Things, when the monitor shows dark things at high FPS, like 144-200, it does this weird lagging effect when stuff is moving where everything gets dark kind of, it’s noticeable when looking at tree leaves in Minecraft, playing Hades, and scrolling in the settings with dark mode on. Also the stand is waaaay to low and the monitor can not pivot up that high so you either have to have something to put it on (which is hard to do because the stand is super wide), or buy a VESA wall mount or stand that clamps to your desk, you also have to make sure the stand is strong enough to hold up the monitor.
This is all accurate, I'd agree with your points. I'm still rocking it and haven't had any issues in terms of reliability, and I use it for work 40 hours/week and maybe another 10 hours/week for gaming.
For a budget ultrawide high refresh monitor, it kills it. Rocking a 3060ti right now so I rarely get above 144fps in most games I play, I'm hovering from 90-120fps on max graphics.
That’s a side effect of the VA panel. IPS resolves this.
is the monitor still holding up or how did it hold up? would you recommend this for a student for studying/productivity and casual gaming?
Just incase anyone is thrown from purchasing because of the response time, the rts is 1ms, it has a 5ms gtg which is how well the monitor displays different colours on the screen
researching,, just bought this one it looks great , up grading from LG 29 Ultra wide ,got the dreaded blue line , could have fix ,but the monitor is 2017 not worth the money, to fix parts cost more than buying a new one if you cand find,LOL!
why does the guys act like a smartass
Im think I'll buying it, I dont know if ghosting is noticeable at high Hz
it is. if your're sensitive to ghosting, don't buy this monitor.
does this have dual inputs? I want my gaming pc and MacBook Pro to run in split screen mode at the same time? The feature is called PbP(Picture by Picture) right?
As far as I'm aware, it doesn't support PbP. Had the monitor for about 5 months now and never had any issues, would still highly recommend it for budget 1080p ultrawide
@@scootersstuff I'm struggling with finding a good monitor, whether it's ultrawide or 4k. I've been on 1080p for so long, ready to move onto the future. The problem is the 5700xt isn't really a good 4k GPU and I can't even find Nvidia's overpriced cards anymore, gave up. I've seen 21:9 benchmarks for AAA games, the 5700xt gets too hot pushing 60fps and beyond.
You think the GIGABYTE M32Q 32" would be better? It's not ultrawide, but it has HDR and 1440p for an affordable price. My friend says 1080p ultrawide is blurry, you don't have that problem right?
Do you think a 1650ti can handle this monitor while playing fortnite at 120fps on all low setting ?
I think it could easily do 100+ fps, maybe 120+ on all low settings. I'd say go for it. It's a great monitor given the price point.
what is that keyboard it's awesome
its a Kolmax Hunter in white. pretty cheap keyboard from Amazon, but I have nothing but good things to say about it!
What is the red plastic triangle piece that goes to with the stand? I have the exact same monitor, and I lost the red plastic triangle
Pretty sure it’s for wire management, keep your wires from knotting up around each other
Can you see the pixels from normal sitting distance or are they tight enough that you don't get the screen door effect?
I don't get screen door effect. Pixels are tight and I'm still rocking the monitor with a 3060ti. Able to play most games on ultra with high FPS
SMASH THAT FUCKING LIKE BUTTON
SMASH IT BOYS AND GIRLS
would you say this monitor vs a acer predator xb273 240hz 1080p?
obviously not this is a budget monitor and the acer one is a really expensive awesome monitor
The Acer is probably nicer. I sit about 30 inches from my monitor and would probably not be able to tell the difference between the two, your results may vary
Hey dude, I just got this monitor for my laptop and I have it hooked up to HDMI 1 that is supposed to go to 180 hz but I cant get it to go over 60 hz. Any tips? I can't get a hold of tech support
Did you change refresh rate on your settings? What laptop is it?
Try a DisplayPort cable! I use a DP for my 240hz.
@@Skyrosaur there is 1 HDMI port rated for 180hz on this monitor and the DP port is rated for 200hz, so you can get that 180hz with the HDMI. Personally, I use the DP but that's just me
check the cable quality. usually HDMIs come at 60Hz, so we should buy a better quality HDMI cable. I had to, in order to get the 185Hz and it is expensive.
Like said usually HDMI ports max at 60hz but if that port claims 180 then its the cable. Research your hdmi cable and find a better one.
How do you put the keyboard in
you connect the keyboard to the device connected to the monitor. Ex: if it connected to a pc, the board plugs into the pc. if you have like an xbox, just plug it into the console. the only thing that should be on the monitor is a display port/hdmi port and a power cable 👍
Does it have 4k?
No, just 1080p ultra wide
Just wanted to answer your question on how stupid do you think people are, well there is one guy that did a review of a PC build. He put it all together and screwed it up royally and he called zip ties tweezers.
