Good luck. I’m an anesthesiologist and I’ve watching your channel for awhile. My favorite general surgeon that does this surgery let’s out a bloodcurdling “primal scream” when he fires this specific stapler. Like….you can hear it i the other ORs. It’s hilarious and just appropriate. Brutal recovery. Good luck man.
Best of luck on the next procedure, man. Hope it finally does the trick! And from one gearhead to another, I welcome the addition of more car stuff. Let's see that Z when you get chance! By the way, did you ever resolve the rear axle whine in Scruffy? If you have any more questions on that, feel free to hit me up.
The snow had been keeping me away, but from some research and viewer input, it sounds like I mounted the front leaf spring hangers too high, which might be making the pinion angle out of alignment, leading to that surging whine. Thing to test that theory or in the next couple weeks since the ground is drying out! The rear end is still tired though lol.
Im just now watching this and learning about the separation with Polygon. Seriously, I watched your T8 review numerous times to help me decide to purchase the bike August of last year. I couldn't be any more satisfied with the bike. Thank you for that review, and this channel.
Hope all goes well with the procedure you have coming up. Can't speak for everyone, but the 280Z's are some of my favorite cars. I've been hoping you'd have content with it ever since I saw it on the garage clean out, looking forward to it!
Hang in there man. When our body looses some zip, it sucks. It took me three years of physio to get back on a real bike after a really bad concussion. When i finally did feel the vibration in the pedals again i nearly cried. Now, every ride is still a struggle to manage symptoms but I still feel lucky to have been given the chance to ride again. When we are healthy, we take it all for granted. But when we cant ride for a while, it tastes all the sweeter when we finally do feel real dirt under our tires. Know that sweetness is there waiting for you when you ride again. Best of luck in April.
I am absolutely HERE for the Datsun. Sponsors can be a huge change up for you, maybe it will be relaxing for you in a way. Good luck on the surgery, take all the time you need, and get healthy. We'll be here for you when you get back.
The irony is that the content of your channel isn't really my interest - but I dig who you are and watch most of your videos anyway. Wishing you a speedy recovery after your date in April!
Good luck with the procedure. Hope you heal up quickly and not too painfully. Can't wait to see the Z content. I've worked on a few Nissans and Datsuns back in the day, and those were the car projects I enjoyed the most. I miss those days.
Showing great integrity and being true to yourself (concerning the Polygon sponsoring) is one of the many reasons I enjoy your content. Your channel, your rules and our entertainment 😁🤘
To be fair you have been really good for polygon, I don't own one but from your channel they became a brand i was made aware of as a legit brand as otherwise they certainly wouldn't have been on my radar and probably a lot of other people's. Good luck with the hoop stapling hope it works out this time and keep on trucking 👍🤪
Those surgeries suck man I’ve severely broken my back and have rods and screws holding it together now. I’ve also had two surgery’s on my back door from random infections and what the doctors said was “bad luck” id almost rather do the back again lol. Can’t wait to see what this year brings for you and the channel.
Health issues are so stressful, and stress in turn causes further health issues. Please take care of yourself and do not stress about the channel. I'll be here for more van content or whatever, whenever you feel like posting :)
Even though I've always held your bike related content the highest it's honestly the way you tell and shoot your stories that entices me the most so I'm up for Z content 🙋 Maybe throw in a raw mtb ride every now and then when your healed up. Wish you a speedy recovery!!
good luck with the surgery!!!! I wish u best of luck and a good recovery!!!! I ride Mtb and work on Cars for a living so the Z would be awesome to see fixed up and driven! thanks again!
Good luck with the surgery, hopfully this time it will get things fixed. Looking forward to the Dutson z build one of my favourite JDM cars. Also looking forward to future rides and the van build.
I don't mind the increased range of topics that you have begun to cover. I came for Scruffy, but I also love to see your mountain biking videos, you working on the dirt bike, and even just the garage remodeling. Super excited to see the next 'season' of content and what fun vids you end up making!
Rough! Hopefully they get things right for you on the next procedure and you can get back on the horse soon. Sad to hear about Dirt Gloves too. We met David once and he was an awesome guy.
Dude! Sorry to hear the health issues resuming but transparency is probably why you have the followers you do. I, for one, love your variety and style and I think your sponsors do too! There’s just way too many linear channels out there pumping hype and to fallow this type of content is what makes you and your channel desirable.
I was definitely on the fence out sharing this part, but it'll be affecting what I put out in the near future, so rather than make something up or just go dark, I thought best to just come clean. I'm glad you appreciate the transparency, thats what I always hope for here!
Hope everything goes well. I’ve been watching the channel since pretty close to its beginning, and I just wanted to say I appreciate the content, even through the hardship. Last fall I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis after several months of being progressively more sick and a hospital stay. I’m an avid mountain biker and it definitely put that on the back burner during that time. I can only speculate of course, and your business is yours. I just wanted to offer some measure of support; chronic conditions can be kind of lonely, and they do wear on a person. Hopefully your back on your bike soon!
Man I will keep you in my thoughts for the surgery. I'm going under the knife as well but mine is tomorrow. Hopefully the ol ticker doesnt give up the ghost and I can come back and see more vids. I'm happy to see your channel grow and to be a part of the viewers. I really enjoy the content. I just miss the banter between you and your wife. LOL.
Hey man, best of luck on the surgery, I know what its like to be down for surgery. I had hernia surgery last year and was out for 10 weeks before I could ride again. Just want to say tho, I bought a Polygon Siskiu T8 at the beginning of this year and your endorsement (along with the bang for buck) was a big factor on picking the T8 over the other bikes I was shopping. One last thing, the Datsun 240z and 270z are up there as my favorite cars so I look forward to seeing what you do with it
I still think Polygon makes a solid bike and stand by my reviews I did, and I hope you're digging it! Definitely not looking forward to being couch bound, but sometimes it necessary to make the positive stride you need to!
Best of luck with your surgery and the changes to the channel. I actually started following you because of the scruffy build so I'm looking forward to more automotive content personally. Take care!
As long there still will be some bike or trailbuilding content i'm on board. Editing and storytelling in your Videos is so unique and prime quality that i will stick around even though i'm not a car enthusiast.
Jim, I hope all goes well my man - i know back door issues far too well - just have been able to avoid surgery to this point. I for one, am very eager to see that Datsun build. Probably should go ahead and RB26 swap it, put a whirly boy on it and burn down the back tires... nonetheless, hope you recover quick, hope you get to keep making awesome content, and hope Sarah is still killing it at the new shop.
I subscribed because you were Seth bikes hacks that made actual gnarly features. Also more down to earth not all cheesy clickbaity. Go back to when you made the adjustustable drop. That was CONTENT. keep it going cheers. Stay GNARLY.
Maybe try the bigger guage staples this time...? Just thinking out loud. Datsun with bike rack appendage + 3-inch lift + AWD engine-trans conversion. Datsun 240Z rock-crawler!
@@TheShredist Absolutely! I'm old enough to remember one trolling the HS parking lot. Dude would smash the dunes with it. I think you have your gameplan sir.
love the content Jim! Hope your surgical endeavors go well and you are soon worry free and back to hucking bikes. Also more bike content would be much appreciated!!!
Hey Mr.Jim on that rockdrop trail building video you did what was that first intro song you put nice RUclips channel I have a ton of super gnarly MTB DH and slope style trail in the mountain me and my bro built together since we was like 8 or 9 I'm almost 14 now and I love mountain biking I got a canyon stoic 2 size small and my bro got a Marin San Quentin size medium
I think you left out dirt bike stuff, but honestly, it seems that most people are pumped for anything you put out. So kudos to you, Jim, and best of luck on the upcoming surgery. 🇨🇦
You're right, I left it out, I guess I was too focused on my butt! Seriously though, dirtbike is coming along, videos will be coming out on it too pretty soon!
Hey man sorry to hear you’re going through some tough health issues. If it benefits you take a listen to Cannabis Health Podcast Radio it may change your life. Best of luck to you!
Hey, good luck with the surgery! And by the way, what's that weird plastic sheet with slits that goes over the rear window of the Datsun? Seen it a million times on different [sport] cars, but never knew what it was.
Mine is made of aluminum, but they're called louvers, they keep the sun out of cars with large rear windows but allow you to see out the back still. Mostly an aesthetic thing, but does cut down some in cabin heat and uv damage.
From one yak shaver to another: finish the YZ, then finish Scruffy. THEN share the Datsun with us. I'm super pumped for the datsun, but bruh, don't burn yourself out two summers in a row.
Good luck. I’m an anesthesiologist and I’ve watching your channel for awhile. Dude So stoked you are on HandUp now! Love that company!!
I'm pumped too! Even better, I just got word my package arrived! 🎊
Here’s one more towards 50k. I don’t normally subscribe to anything, but I have enjoyed your channel. It’s different, unique, and creative.
Im just now watching this and learning about the separation with Polygon. Seriously, I watched your T8 review numerous times to help me decide to purchase the bike August of last year. I couldn't be any more satisfied with the bike. Thank you for that review, and this channel.
Hope you have a full recovery! Get well soon! I enjoy watching your videos. -Rob in Tennessee

Good luck on surgery. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear about the surgery brother! On the bright side, I’m dying for some Datsun content!

Good luck with your surgery and recovery. Came to your channel for mountain bike content but will definitely be staying to watch your Z build.
All the best with your procedure.
Good luck with everything. Appreciate the honesty. Glad you got some new sponsors and can’t wait to see that Datsun doing its thing.

Hang in there bud. You'll be riding in no time. Out of shape, but happy.

Congrats on the glove deal. Kudos for following your conscience on your Polygon contract.
Healthy vibes for your surgery! 👊🏾

Hope they get you dialed in this time bro!! Excited for the changes and future progression!
Love the channel seems wherever you take it it's interesting. Look forward to the vehicle/dirt bike builds and good vibes for the surgery ✨😑✨
Best of luck with surgery. Feel for you man. Not being able to ride blows.
Heal up soon. Really enjoy your channel.
Not sure if it’s what my brother went through but he’s done two surgeries and needs another as well, so good luck and hopefully all will be well
I love the variety on your channel, it's good to hear more of that is coming. Good luck on the procedure.

Rb26 would be amazing, maybe that'll happen for its 5th phase down the line lol
@The Shredist heard that! After kids, i quit building cars, and sadly, builds are never done....or cheap i suppose. Cheers, man.
Handup headquarters pretty sure is in chattanooga. That's where Im from and they started the company there in chattanooga. Pretty rad crew
Good luck and wishing you good health!
I’ve had some surgeries recently you’ll get back to it soon good vid

Stoked on the Datsun content!!
Hope the surgery goes well this time for ya Jim! Let's get some laps in this summer after you're all healed up!
Thanks Alex! I've been eyeballing those new buckwild jumps. I may need a tow-in this summer! 🤘
