If you notice, they still have a "version" of drums in the beginning of the song. If you go out to a lot of open mics, most of them don't allow drums because it causes way too much noise in a small/confined area, and they want to be able to hear their customers orders, and they know their customers want to be able to hear their friends. Not to mention, I've worked for radio stations and it's *very* hard to get live drums to sound right over the air. You can, but it's tricky.
