Amazing -- everything looks exactly the same as when I lived in Allen in 1980! (Except they stuffed 3 of us into one of those rooms.) Good to see this, thank you.
I’m thinking about transferring to Rutgers New Brunswick, are there single dorm options?(no roommates) I’m asking this just for the purpose of not getting some valuables stolen or because of paying for fines where an idiot roommate would break furniture lol.
Lightstrike3 There are single room options but you can usually only get them if you have a really good lotto number (applications for them were early) or if you have some kind of disability. If you have a sort of disability I think you’d still be able to get one or go on a waiting list, but you’d have to email or call them. I’ve never heard of anyone having a roommate who steals in real life, so I’m sure you’ll be fine in that aspect! There’s also this agreement in the beginning of the year where you set boundaries between each other and if you have any problems with a roommate you can always tell an RA or switch roommates!
Isabel Xu not really. The BEST dorms are a lot better. They’re bigger and I’m pretty sure BEST dorms are triples. They also have bathrooms that u share with another room. BEST was right across from Metzger and u guys have the best utilities, it’s really nice there hah!
You choose where you want to live, being a certain ethnicity plays no part in which dorm you are selected in. What you are talking about may just be a de facto situation, but I know that most of my friends who are Asian are in Livingston, because 1) they applied for it almost immediately after the application was released and 2) they had it as one of their top choices. hope that helps
Puja Shah they’re all supposed to be co-ed and they generally are. Though, last year, the third floor was all guys except one room lmao! But i think that was just to chance!

I drank and did a lot of drugs in that building. Metzger is wild
Amen brother, not to mention several other misdemeanors...

Is this kind of dorm similar to the BEST Hall?
