After looking at other videos they weren't as updated so it was a bit hard to follow their tutorial so thanks for the great and updated video, worked really well after a couple of tries! Thanks!
Got my shiny treecko in less than 3 hours, I also whatched blisy tutorial on how to manipulate iv and nature. Thanks a lot for your guide, a dream come true
This tutorial was amazing! Within an hour I managed to get myself a lovely shiny Mudkip, thanks a lot! Could you also please make a video on how to rng wild encounters on Ruby/Sapphire?
ive managed to get the TID and SID, but ive been encountering some treeckos which dont generate a frame hit once i input the stats? Does anyone know what this means when no frame advances generate once i hit calculate IV ranges?
@@_arxxeon_ i ended up just constantly re-setting without calculating the IVs and got it within an hour. The calculations and calibration definitely not needed
Doing this myself done the first part didnt take long but the swcond part i keep not getting it show up so on the timer i have the fram hit at 0 then hit update and it then shows up when i put the pokemons stats in Edit: found the cause insead of the instead of the Eon timer removing time it kept adding time if so for anyone doing this beolw the 5:000 it has next stage the numbers next to that should be around 25:161
This is a really good tutorial, but I've been at this for 2 hours - I've gotten within 1 frame of the desired frame and I don't get why it's not happening. I'll try again some other time, but I appreciate the guide. Lots of other guides said to subtract values by 75? I don't know, not discounting those guides - maybe they were outdated?
Question, if I started my Ruby file with a live battery then removed it mid playthrough, will the seed revert back to 5A0 or remain stuck on whatever it was with the live battery?
got a cart on ebay, I think it's a repro, it doesn't say anything about a battery when I launch the game. do I still need to check the dead battery box in the poke finder or ?
that's a very good question. If it was emulator there is an option to use real time clock. I assume your cartridge does not run a real time clock so there should be no problem. Let me know if it works.
Google sum images of authentic copies and compare it w yours maybe that helps, if no message appears maybe your battery is not dry yet idk im just guessing at this point. Give it a try
@@ItsLazyHunter ahhh ok, although it will take longer, could I shiny hunt my starter just by soft resetting every time then since my battery isn’t dead? (On Ruby)
I accidentally cleared the calibration when trying to get the shiny on frame 1493, now every time I input the stats in the seed assistant no Pokémon show up. Does this mean I have to redo the whole thing again?
Clearing the calibration will get you back to square one in terms of calibration, meaning you have recalibrate it. But that's it, just find the target once and you should find yourself in terms of frame offset
I have the same issue. I am using VBA-M for this and I read somewhere that I had to disable the Real Time Clock option and I did however when I boot up my Pokemon Sapphire, it doesn't give me the error message that the battery has run dry

Amazing tutorial I got into RNG about a month ago it’s changed my life ☺️
Great to hear!
Just got into RNG manip for like an hr and already got the shiny starter. Good tutorial!
That's awesome!
@@ItsLazyHunter does rng work similar for wild encounters? I don’t know if you’re planing a video on that soon

the best straight forward video i have seen to help me get my first real shiny on sapphire (game boy advance)
Thank you so much for this! I was able to understand this way better since the programs all updated. Was able to get a shiny mudkip within an hour ❤
Glad I could help!
Gonna try this after work today, been looking for a more straight-forward and updated guide
For testing i just got the same exact Treecko as you, ty so much dude. Good tutorial!
Glad I could help!
how long did this take you?
Really helpful! Never done RNG and in 50 minutes I got my shiny starter :) Thank you very much

Hi! The video I have for Emerald also applies for RS, it only changes the initial seed :)
@@ItsLazyHunter oh I didn’t realize that, thanks!
Got myself a shiny Mudkip. Thank you for the guide! I’m on Mac so used v4 of Pokefinder and Roar of Timer v1 (web based timer)
hi! for Gen3 Seed Assistant what program it's for Mac? thanks!

got my shiny mudkip thanks to this
Followed and got the same ID and found my shiny Torchic, thank you! TIme to get him to Pokemon Home to keep forever.
can i replace the battery after i get the starter or do i need it dry to hunt any other wild poke?
gotta leave it dry if you want to make it easy, otherwise initial seed will change
@@ItsLazyHunter oh okey thanks :) how will i find out which seed i need with a batterie sorry for asking so much ^^

How do I know if my game has a dead battery
So question, what if my battery isn’t dead? Could I just keep pressing “a” and Soft Resetting?
If it's not dead this method won't work since your initial seed will change instead of it being 5a0 every time.
@@ItsLazyHunter ahhh ok, although it will take longer, could I shiny hunt my starter just by soft resetting every time then since my battery isn’t dead? (On Ruby)
Once I got the ID, can I put my battery back in and will it still work?
Anyone else having trouble with getting the frame right ahah
Just spent hours on getting the right frame now only realising there’s no seed assistance for Mac 😢
It's fine, you can still get it on PokeFinder! Hit me up on discord
@@ItsLazyHunter alright bro I’ll message ya now
@@williamwilson8367 can you share how you figured this out (or an alternative) for mac? thank you!

Does this work on Japanese version of the games
Yes
So you can't do this in emulator ?
you can :)
How do I make the emulator dead battery?
As per default emulators don't use real time clock so you should be able to do this on emulators without extra configs

can do tutorial for oras?
Yeah sure, added to the list 👍
okay, now show charmander
Will do FireRed soon
