There are plenty of animated movies about cute and cuddly animals… but what about the not-so-cute-and-cuddly ones? Netflix’s latest animated movie, Back To The Outback focuses on a group of the animals at the zoo who don’t get the love that they deserve; and who make it their mission to return home to the wild.

Man, snakes have always been considered the most misunderstood animals of all time besides sharks and spiders. Glad this film portrayed a snake the way every person needs to see outside of negative stereotypes. I've been fascinated with snakes since I was a little kid and even then I thought that not all of them are as bad as everyone makes them out to be.
Snakes still horrify me
Hey that's okay I used to be afraid of snakes but now with a power of infinite love potion I will treat the snakes as if they are one of us and that means living things on earth, and I loved sharks the most and hey maybe they could use some love and I once had a dream of a shark saving me from the poisonous blue ringed octopus and hey maybe someday when another underwater creature other than sharks tries to attack me maybe the shark would rescue me who knows? And I love scorpions too because thier defenses are stingers and hey maybe when an evil person tries to attack me maybe a scorpion will stop an evil person too... and I met a friendly alligator and she was trained to be a friendly gator she was trained by an expert and I gave her love potion to support her and when it was time to leave I sang her a goodbye song and spiders I am still afraid of but like I said with infinite love I will conquer all of my fears I am waiting to conquer... so that movie made it right some animals only scare people because of the horror movies... dang horror movies give you funny vibe and I meant funny messed up... not funny ha ha ha... they are harshing our vibes and it harshes the animal's vibes I mean why would they do that? Who would make horror movies about animals that we get scared of... who cares about them... and I am glad you said negative stereotypes for that situation... that's one of the clues that I am trying to figure out and I feel better that I have figured it out... anyways I have work that needs to get done and I shall see you next time and have a happy holidays everyone!

I really like shnakes as kid i always wanted on as pet
The beginning part where her trainer went to fetch her and commented good things to her like "beautiful" or "show me that lovely smile" and then treat her like a monster in the public was the most saddest part because he broke her trust, back stab her with hushed words and used her as a display of evil instead of a misunderstood snake that's needs respect and live.
@Shadow Fireclaws I don't really get his character. It looks like he loves her and is not afraid and then he is freaking out because of her, only in the end once again loving her and not fearing.
I personally liked Pretty Boy. It’s understandable why he behaves the way he does. He’s spoiled and egotistical yes, but strangers broke into his home, was told to be quiet when he was playing with his toy in HIS home, was kidnapped, fell from fame and glory because of these people he’s never met, and was forced to go with them. I think I’d be an asshole too.

I saw the film and I find it positive message. I hate it when snakes are giving a bad rep. So this is good that this movie shows that snakes aren't evil.

Maddie and Zoe are my favorite characters by far, I liked them from the moment I saw the trailer. I've always had a thing for snake characters but Maddie is definitely adorable and I love her attitude and overall personality. Zoe stood out because she looks like the mascot from one of my favorite college teams, the TCU Horned Frogs. Plus her attitude and humor are just on point, but she's also very loyal and smart. This is definitely one of the best animated movies I've ever watched!

I loved this movie. All the characters were so likeable and wholesome. Especially Jackie and Maddie. Yes, this movie is a bit generic, considering the plot of zoo animals escaping to the wild has been done before (e.g. Madagascar and The Wild). But I can't hate it, seeing how wholesome all the characters were :)
An even bigger problem (and I mean way bigger) with Back to the Outback is it’s toilet humour (though luckily, unlike Nickelodeon and Norm of the North,) that is not all of its comedy), but what more than makes up for it would have to be the amazingly Australian and positively represented (of animal species that get the most unfair level of hatred, even by some (so-called) animal lovers) atmosphere and acting of the movie!

My favorite character? Pretty Boy. Three reasons: 1) his extreme narcissism is frankly amusing; 2) let's face it, he is unrelentingly cute; and 3) he is voiced by the brilliant Australian composer/actor/playwright/comedian, Tim Minchin.
Never knew this movie existed, must be new, and now curious on how it’s story will play.

Being a zookeeper myself, I wanted to beat Chaz senseless almost every time I saw him in this movie for how he treats his animals.
I used to think snakes were dangerous, but until I got older, they are amazing
Nigel is definitely my favorite despite him just being maddies friend but also the cutest character in the movie, well after pretty boys true colors were shown.
i cannot stop watching this movie, jackie and maddie are definitely my favorite though

The only other Australian film I've watched is 100% Wolf. But that movie wasn't really a great one. This, on the other hand, is a masterpiece.

I like Maddie a lot because Maddie shares a similar story to mine. I used to have a very toxic friend that would show me off to others and say mean stuff behind my back. But, eventually, I stayed away from her and now we only talk if we HAVE too.
Im obsessed with this movie, I recommended it to my school friend and one of my teachers, and really hope there is a sequel, maybe with Chaz staring as one of the good characters. Also, I really like Maddie in this movie, as she is very nice, but you don't want to blow her top, especially since she can, "kill 100 men in less than 10 seconds" with a single drop of her venom.(my favorite scenes when she/Chaz says that)
This movie was very special to me because of it's animation, the location it was in is in the same continent and side of that continent where i live and the message it sends because at my school i also hid my fangs/teeth because my k9s were really big which kind of scared people and made them call me a monster in some cases so this film made me shed tears and moved my heart greatley. 🐍🕷🦂🦎💗🥰

I don’t know, some traditionally creepy/scary animals can be really cute if you look into them. For example, mother crocodiles are Very protective of her young and will do just about anything to protect her babies, and mother wolf spiders Cary their babies upon their back after they are hatched.

My soul feels wounded every time you call Maddie and her friends 'The Reptiles'. They have a literal SPIDER and SCORPION. The ArachnoReptiles would be much better. I think.
Also, at some point, you called her 'Mandy'. Now that is unacceptable.
And finally, 'Back to the Outback' was a great film. If I make a video rating movies I watched best to worst, 'Back to the Outback' would be very high onthe list.

My favourite character is Maddie.
By the way. I've heard that Back To The Outback is actually about Australia and their animals. It's true that the character Maddie is a taipan and can kill many people with her venom but still she is shown as a good 🐍. The spikey lizard I forgot the name of it but I do know they are actually dangerous so as the other characters but still they are actually friendly. Well if you have a pet snake that is a taipan and seen them. They're actually beautiful creatures if you've seen one.
This lizard name is moloch or devil horned lizard if I'm correct 🤔

Cruella (2021): Good To Evil
The Good
1. John - He saved Cruella from being killed by Baroness multiple times
2. Catherine Miller - She took care of Cruella to avoid getting her killed by Baroness
3. Anita Darling - She was always a good friend of Cruella unlike the most of kids
Artie - He saved Horace and Wink from George who tried to kill them
Grey Area
Principal - He held a grudge against Cruella but he only did that because he thought that she is a bad kid
Buddy and Wink - They are both very nice dogs who truly care for their masters and saved them from trouble many times and could easily qualify as Good if they weren't assisting their masters in stealing stuff
Jasper and Horace - They let Cruella join their gang and saved her from worries but still were stealing stuff from others
Cruella - She is the most complicated character in the movie as she was a sweet but disobedient kid at first who turned into a full-fledged villain later and even was rude to her companions in one period but still loves them and saved them from prison
Dalmatians - They were Baroness' attack dogs who killed Cruella's adoptive mother Catherine and possibly many other people before her but they were only listening their master and became good quickly after they were removed from Baroness' care
Bad To Evil
Gerald - He was a huge jerk to Cruella and disapproved and mistreat her
3. School Bullies - They were doing much terrible things to Cruella from the beginning
2. George and Jeffery - They tried to kill Cruella and to incriminate Jasper and Horace for burning the building and didn't care when Cruella told them to spare her and that Baroness is the terrible boss
1. Baroness Von Hellman - She is easily the most evil character in the movie and she tried to kill her daughter multiple times and killed multiple people in the past including Cruella's adoptive mother
I always thought that snakes are THE DEADLIEST and they try to bite you.But when I saw back to the outback I realized that snakes are not soo harmful.Now, I love snakes!!!
Jim Carrey characters good to evil
I first watched this film on Tuesday at school in science, but we only made it to the first half.
The next day, i was the only one in my class and watched the rest with our science teacher.
When I got home, I told my mum and asked if she wanted to watch BttO. That night, we ended up watching 2/3 of the film and finished the rest the next night aka last night. We watched it AGAIN because of how much she loved it.
I give the film 100/10

@@WickedBinge Honestly, I think it’s hard to tell whoever is worse. PB or Chaz Sr. I don’t think he’s as much of an evil person as he made it out to be, and I do think that he just did genuinely become the much better person he used to be (in the CS and Maddie flashback) at the end, but then again, he’s more of a reformed villain than another Edwin Epps (12 Years a Slave) or Disney Renaissance villain.

I've been waiting for this kind of stuff for a while now. Honestly, I think Illumination is a pretty underrated studio. They're not Disney or DreamWorks levels of good, but they do have a few gems.

One of my favorite lines in the movie is when Chaz says "wait a minute what's that under my hat??"
