I’ve been using the carbon X 2000 and 3000 for two seasons after watching you use them in your videos. Overall really great reels for the money. You’re not kidding about how good the drag system is!

I have the carbon x 3000 and 4000 that I have been using for chasing channel catfish and carp with and all I can say is these light reels have some serious power to fight big fish.

Not sure about weight because I fish from a kayak but my PB brown was about a month ago I got a 33in brown. Looked like maybe close to 20lb but honestly don’t know. As far as steelhead, I’ve never caught one! But I just moved here in august so hopefully soon I can land one. It’s my birthday this weekend so I’ll be kayaking Milwaukee harbor all weekend!

One of these days I’ll get up there to try for some browns. My biggest brown was 28.2 caught on the Michigan side of the lake back around 1982. Steelhead was a little over 20. Lost one much bigger on the Ausable River, a tributary of Lake Huron in Oscoda Michigan
Caught a couple of nice splake where you were in lanse bay last year.

PB 15 Lb Brown. Waiting for Steelhead, caught many 30 + years ago on Oconto River. Still waiting for steelhead bobber drop without loosing it last 2 seasons shore and wader fishing. Long drive to Lake Michigan cribs for Son and I.
Hey Eric, I can't compete with a 23 Lb Steelie, but I can compare in the area. I have caught several Steelies between 15-17lb. I fish the Kalamazoo river, the Grand River, and the St. Joe. Throw in a few trips to Tippy Dam...(Manistee River) too. In the Great Stae of Michigan. Tight line buddy.

I'd be in heaven over there, especially how I fish. I can only imagine how the salmon fishing is there with skein under a float. To answer your question about my PB steelhead, it was bouncing 12.5-13lbs.🔥💯

Where I live fishing for spawning fish is illegal. Seems unsportsmanlike everywhere, too easy.
Well you can’t catch browns in any harbor lol Indiana harbors don’t have browns maybe a small one and your 1 in a million to get one but all the lake browns are Wisconsin or Michigan lol
