- Learn how to drape a strapless silk bias dress with me. I show my draping process with silk charmeuse and how to transfer it to paper to create a paper pattern. The only clothing I’ve made is a pair of joggers (I love them), but I’m curious about draping and flat pattern making. That green silk is BEAUTIFUL, but I was holding my breath while watching you trim the excess 😂. Are you usually able to do other things with the excess?,

its beautiful...but I'm hurting inside if this is pure silk charmeuse that you are using for draping...I'm personally too precious about expensive and high quality fabrics.

do you use the fabric you draped to sew the final garment? or do you cut new pieces?
I cut new pieces for the final dress but I reuse the draped fabric to create smaller projects out of silk

No it’s not custom it is from Etsy seller royal dress forms I have the Monica in light beige. They have a variety of sizes.
