  • I don't how to explain this group, but Stray Kids has an interesting vibe to them.
Let me know what you want me to watch! Or better yet, suggest another type of content I should make that could help you learn more about dance! Whether you're an aspiring dancer, training to be a K-Pop idol, or just want to appreciate the art of dance-
I want to share my knowledge with YOU.
    Hope ya'll enjoy this video!
    Quick about me:
My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created playing FF14 online, so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. You can call me either one. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. And normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but have also taken inspiration from other dance artforms such as ballet, jazz, and tap. And how I got into K-Pop was because the main three groups, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, and SNSD. That followed with other things hallyu like korean dramas, variety shows, and the rest is history.

Yeah, I think sometimes with SKZ so much is going on that you need time to digest it. You've seen a lot of the "rowdy" side of them so honestly, I'd love to see you check out like the softer side so Scars or Levanter. But if you want to see more of the rowdy energy but in a different way I suggest TA

Stray Kids are a rap heavy group but they're really versatile at the same time

Back Door happens right after God's Menu, so there are several costume and character references in the mv. At the end everything is a party since they were promoting their repackage album "In life" (with back door as their new single). The rap line in this group is INSANE, there are songs more focused on rap than others. Stray Kids choreographies are super elaborate. There are songs like TA that have many elements of hip hop, in Easy you will find a very smooth choreo, or songs like Levanter more contemporary, Side Effects is super intense, has a lot of musicallity and they use a lot of waacking (or well I think so, heh I'm not a dance expert), and songs like District9 which has b-boy elements, Double Knot is super hard too. I am glad that you are liking Stray Kids, so far 😍🙏 and the knock knock sound is super iconic, I love those little details. Stray Kids did a collab with Ateez in Kingdom, both groups get along very well and have that contagious energy.
Ohhhh also I wanted to tell you that you put the hashtags of nct and not those of skz under your video 😂

The majority of this choreo is by Sienna Lalau, who was 19 at the time. A lot of it is meant to be a callback to musical theatre, which is where stuff like that "Chris Brown scuff" comes in (that move was around decades before CB was born ). The "soul train" move is a reference to a Korean kids' dance (think along the lines of our Ring-a-round the Rosie or whatever).

Sienna is dope! Especially her "The Lab" stuff in CA dance competitions.

It’s because Stray Kids produces their own music and writes their own lyrics. Their messages are always meaningful.

This song is a continuation after God's Menu which you definitely need to check out. I also recommend Easy ( it has an mv and dance practice). Thanks for the reaction, i enjoyed it! Can i also say that stray kids are phenomenal performers on stage so you should check out their live performances if you are interested~

Their choreography harks back to mixing modern hip-hop and other dance styles with musical theatric. Echoes of Bob Fossey, Gene Kelley, Fred Astaire, West Side Story. It's all there. It was all done way before Chris Brown and Michael Jackson. The sound you're hearing is Woodblocks. They're "knocking on the back-door." There is even an acknowledgment of Michael Angelo's "The Creation of Adam" painting when Hyunjin touches the finger of Seungmin. This is the difference which is Stray Kids. There is no formula with what they do. They work outside the Kpop box, are storytellers, because they write and produce their own music and are invested in the whole portrayal of their art. May I suggest you also look at this guy's video reaction. ruclips.net/video/fzMHBzL4cbM/видео.html He can explain all the camera work and film editing techniques used in the MV, but personally I prefer just the pure choreography.

NIce! Yeah, I'm very aware of the move was done before Chris Brown. Just don't know what that move is called exactly. But nice to know about more context, thank you for that!

I think Blackpink and Stray Kids newest music videos are probably the best out there at the moment.

I agree with the narrative part in their choreo, so if something u think was out of the ordinary maybe u can check the lyrics coz it might have something to do with it. :) love ur reactions

9:30 it says in the lyrics “I’ll walk out that door to see everything I wanted
I can hear the music playing on the other side of the door” hence the blocking and sliding like a door 😊

Love Stray kids, i think term rowdy is a great desctriptor. Man you should absolutely react to Lay's new dance practice Flying Apsaras, it is one of the most beautiful choreos i have seen in a while, chinese traditional dance mixed with hiphop and crump and even some waacking.
