This machine cuts black, red, yellow acrylic, but my question is does it cut other colors such as pink, orange? Most acrylic has a film that covers the acrylic - will this machine cut other colors if the film is left on?

I currently own a d1 and love it for my leather craft. I have done a lot of projects so far only owning it a short time. however I only engrave as it does not clean cut leather. I would like to know how well the knife blade cuts leather on the m1?

I'm new to this concept. I looked through the official website and it says it cuts black acrylic. Why can you not cut clear acrylics?
Most diode lasers can't cut transparent acrylic because diode laser emits blue laser light, which can't be easily absorbed by transparent acrylic.
@@xToollaser would it work if you cover transparent acrylic with paint or layer of tape/sticky sheet?

Yes but it's limited on size get the d1 or something where you can do big stuff.

5W can not be upgraded to 10W for the time being. 10W is a dual laser module with more powerful laser output power and more refined engraving.
Can this laser do 3d engraving using grayscale image depth map?
It does mostly what the d1 does but added the cnc.

While this looks super cool, better off getting a Cricut-like machine and a 40W CO2 laser cutter. This only goes up to 10w. Not enough to cut acrylic in a single pass. Let me know when this can go up to 40w.
Yep. But the cost of buying two machines will be very much higher. In addition, the maximum laser module output power of the diode laser is currently 10W.
So maybe in the future, the laser industry is more technologically advanced, there will be a 40W laser?
xtools in may 2022 will be shipping the model M1 which cuts with a knife like a Cricut and laser cutting too and adds an internal camera like the glowforge for easy engraving setup in software visually speaking 💪🏼
