Generally "S" would stand for Sport in gear shift lingo. It keeps the revs higher to keep the engine at the peak speed for acceleration. It's not be mistaken for "Sport Mode" which is a drive management system that alters not just the way the car keeps the gears but also the throttle response and sometimes steering feel and suspension characteristics :-) -Roy
@@shiojaneliasp there are no blank slots available, unfortunately. Like I said in the video, it really boils down to the initial buying decision, because the Civic you buy is certainly the Civic you'll fall in love with for life.
The V variant has "S" in the shift selector that stands for Sport. It's regular S mode that keeps the revs longer before "shifting up". The RS variant has legit Sports mode that alters not just shift times, but throttle response and handling :-) I can't wait to get my hands on the RS model so we can review it on the channel so I can show you guys how much of a "Type-R lite" it is :-) - Roy
Their sedans are Honda's bread and butter. They just look great inside and out. But you're right about the wheels. These "petal" looking wheels fit some cars, but not all, especially not something as badass as a Civic. Another great review brother! But when is your XL7 review gonna drop? You teased that two weeks ago. 😉
If you have money, I suggest go for the premium mazda 3. Yes, it has lower hp and torque, but the transmission is much better than this cvt on civic. Not to mention it is more fuel efficient too.
Big fan of the Mazda 3 but its tight in the back, infotainment system has a learning curve, less availability of parts, and less storage space. If you drive alone and have extra money to burn and hates cvt Mazda is a no brainer, otherwise get the Civic.
Hi there! We've been asking Mazda PH for a spin of the Mazda 3 but as soon as we get our hands on one we'll know if the Civic is still the king of Compacts! -Roy
I actually had to rewatch it to remember what I was wearing that day. I think I better add some Chicagos to the mix, maybe some white would look nice! -Roy

Hi Roy, what’s the S in the transmission? Is that the sports mode or just Drive (S)?

The only problem I have with the base S variant is no rear a/c vents. Which can be easily solved with aftermarket vents for 10k.
Aftermarket vents are, tbh, quite ugly and ruins the entire aesthetic of the interior. If I were to add anything it's USB ports :-)
care to share where to grab those AC vents? Is there an option to add the USB ports?
@@shiojaneliasp just search 2022 civic rear a/c vents. Yes usb ports are included.
@@brakinglate8828 So there's "abang" for the A/C vents and USB slots at the center console?

Great content, i would still prefer the top of the line RS version, or better yet wait for the Type R version, that car is truly amazing 🤗
Holy smokes! The Type-R is just my dream car!
Hard to get one from the dealership. No stock or on hand unit available.
How fast is the civic v variant from 0-100?
Does the V variant have Sport Mode?

If S variant is still available in Ph, I’ll definitely buy those. Similar engine with rs. Everything can be solved by aftermarket

Hopefully Mazda Philippines throws the gauntlet down and sends a Mazda 3 my way to test :-)
Hi, comparo with corolla gr please.
Hybrid vs Turbo!?!? That would be awesome!
Hopefully to have one someday because that is my dream car since I was playing NFSUG2
MT is LIFE.
The Honda Civic Type-R or at the very least the Civic Si should scratch that MT itch... If only I had 3 million lying around somewhere... 🤣
@@RealRoyRobles true. sad city MT is out of stock ☹️ SI is only for US and Cads
You don’t have video for HRV V Turbo?
Hi, there! We're all lined up for a more in depth review but I've got a quick one right here :-) ruclips.net/video/pywmoIwZlBg/видео.html
It's pretty in-depth, but I know you want more so we'll be doing another one :-)
welcome to donut! MORE POWAHH BABY!
Those grilles on the dash are gonna be messy in maybe 2 or 3 years, and it’ll be hard to clean, that’s for sure.
If Honda releases a branded cotton bud with a red stalk to clean the das I'd snatch that up right away!
@@RealRoyRobles that's a good one 😂.
the only competitor is Mazda 3.. do you have an upcoming review?

bakit nag taas presyo ng civic?
With inflation going up world wide, I'd say it's about right. :-/
Honda Sensing also comes standard, which adds to the price.
Pagbaba ng inflation rate bababa pa kaya ang price nyan? Base variant pag launch 1.29 m. Ngayun 1.4 m na
@@mrkarn8241 lol no. That’s not how inflation works 😹
Review of your Honda Civic, please? Hehe
We might bring out a huge reveal for that!
I love the Donut shirt!!
Just trying to tap into that James Pumphry energy!
Aside from the car u got the shoes he he

No rear usb charging port Sucks. Too much machine minimum. Boooo
