Could we finally have a chance to avenge our ancient dinosaur friends in our war against the asteroids?!
NASA’s first of its kind Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, launched a week ago on the 24th November with one purpose in mind - to throw itself into the maw of an asteroid at 22,000km/h, just to show who’s boss! But also as a way to test whether we could protect ourselves from rogue asteroids hurtling into our atmosphere and causing large-scale disaster.
