    Dear at 9.28
    White moves king to g3
    You give check at F6
    I think the better move was queen to d5 x raying the king - the pawn canmot take the knight coz the queen is hanging.

    The Stafford Gambit is the Boden-Kieseritzky Gambit with colours reversed and thus a tempo less: 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.Bc4 Nxe4 4.Nf3 Nxc3 5.dxc3. Look that one up and you'll learn the refutation. It's not in this video.

    • @ItIsYouAreNotYour
      @ItIsYouAreNotYour Год назад

      This is about the Stafford Gambit. Why would he play something not the Stafford Gambit, when he's showing the Stafford Gambit?

    • @marknieuweboer8099
      @marknieuweboer8099 Год назад +1

      @ ItIs: don't you understand the relevance of openings with colours reversed? Nor the importance of an extra tempo in a tactical opening? The refutation of the Boden-Kieseritsky Gambit works even better against the Stafford Gambit. Use the latter against an opponent who understands and knows it and you'll have a lost position within a few moves.

    • @ItIsYouAreNotYour
      @ItIsYouAreNotYour Год назад

      @@marknieuweboer8099 I understand the relevance, except for the fact he's literally teaching the Stafford Gambit. Otherwise he would be showing that line.

    • @marknieuweboer8099
      @marknieuweboer8099 Год назад +1

      No, you don't and you make that perfectly clear. Black's best defence against the B-K Gambit works even better with reversed colours against the Stafford Gambit due to the extra tempo. Repeat: as soon as Black uses it against someone who dóés understand this Black will be a pawn down without compensation within a few moves. That's called a refutation.

    What if white plays 5.e5 instead of 5.d3? It kind of refutes your whole video.

    • @prochessind
      @prochessind  Год назад

      No it doesn’t. After e5, black can go with the setup of Nd5, Bf5 and get a comfortable play. The Knight enjoys its stay on d5 and if its kicked or attacked it has Nb4 as an option putting pressure on c2 in some sidelines.

    • @detlefruchatz7262
      @detlefruchatz7262 10 месяцев назад

      @@prochessind5. e5 is followed by 6.d4 There will be no Bf5 and no tricks. There will be 1 pawn less for Black and an engine eval of +2.62. Please be honest and tell your viewers the whole truth, if you advocate such dubious openings!

    • @prochessind
      @prochessind  10 месяцев назад

      @detlefruchatz7262 5. e5 Nd5, 6. d4 Bf5 7. Bc4 Qd7 8. 0-0, 0-0-0 computer says +2 in an opposite side castling.
      1) Bf5 is possible.
      2) I already made the point clear in the video that this opening has more of a practical sense.
      3) There are lots of positions in openings like Pirc Defence (Austrian attack or opposite castle positions), Caro Kann Van der wiel systems, and other long castle opening systems where computer evaluates close to +2, doesn’t mean that these systems are not playable or dubious.
      4) Long story short, we are Chess players, we try to learn new lines that can be tried against other players (humans). We are not playing against computers. So if you enter a position where computer shows +2 but if you play 2-3 (not the best recommendations), it becomes very comfortable. Thats my point.

      @detlefruchatz7262 10 месяцев назад

      @@prochessind My point is: Tell your viewers the whole truth. This includes that they can go down very fast trying to play the Stafford gambit. Most Chess players, who promote the Stafford gambit, do not hide this fact. You should not do it either.
