ウィーンの居酒屋「ムノツィル・イン」で意気投合し、毎晩のように即興演奏を披露していた音楽家7人。その華麗な演奏が話題を呼び、グループを結成したのが「ムノツィル・ブラス」の始まり。元ウィーン・フィル首席トランペット奏者ハンス・ガンシュの弟、トーマス・ガンシュ率いるこの世界一型破りなアンサンブルは、トランペット3名、トロンボーン3名、チューバ1名の金管七重奏で構成。世界中で年間130回を超える公演を行い、子どもから大人まで圧倒的な人気を誇る。
