I was surprised to see the Blairsville Train Station. My grandfather in 1927 built the building that still stands on the street beside the station. After I lived there for a year or so with my family. We then moved up to our house on Cedar Ave. I'll not forget McGillick Park that was right behind the building. Played a lot of softball at that park. I recall the time that Don Ellis hit a softball so hard it went through a window about 20 or so feet up in the church across from the park. That ball would have been out of any major league ball park because it was still going up when it went through the window.
hi is there anyone from the indiana-homer city area? im looking for people to do a pedal bike rideout. let me know if you can wheelie and your from indiana.
I gotta say I don't understand this comment. I've been to Indiana many times and it's a very nice clean place! Does it have some bad spots? I'm sure it does. But overall it seems like a great place to raise a family. For small town America, of which many have been hit hard economically,it's nice and I'd gladly live there.

I Loved being born and raised in Indiana County, Indiana was a phenomenal place to live back in the 1970's and the 1980's .so much History in Indiana.
Sure would be nice to have all these stores open today.
So pristine, many think it even launders money.

My grandpa was from Indiana and has a record for the biggest coke bust in the country. So, yeah

The fact that most of those building are over 100 years old is surprising.

You missed the Piazza House, Streamline Supermarket and Buggy's gas station on Oakland Ave.
Yeah, I mean, how dare you leave those out. Calm down there, Tom.
Isn't buggy on Philly street or did they move it to Philly from oakland
This town could use some gentrification.
