I love The Cure and Jason Cooper is such a great drummer! I'm tired of the Jason haters. I've been a Cure fan since the early 80's and saw them live in 1984. They are beautiful souls
Been The Cure fan since the early 80s. Im so hyped for the new album. These bew tracks are awesome and I cant believe that Robert still has THAT voice, he hasnt diminished as a singer at all like some do. His voice still melts me. The Cure forever ❤
Love them since 80's and saw them 2 years ago the 1st time live (not the last ). One of the best concerts i visited in 35 years. The Voice is still the same. No other band can create that wonderful melancholic carpet like The Cure.
Hold up, I'm very confused. The Cure is dropped a new album on the first of November, 2024 and I figured that this song was new, but its been around for at least a year now?
Very Emotional for on Clear Vinyl the Irish love ❤ Forever The Cure and Remastered Album spider man said Sorry wrong number person 2 person Ultralivin mix
The music even without lyrics is so emotional feeling. They sound so fukn good. I love how he is just taking it all in. I cant claim to be a die hard cure fan. Sadly i never seen them live. As teen in the 80s/early 90s i was lil metal head but dug the Cure. I cant even claim to know every lil thing about them but The Cure is defintely part of the soundtrack growing up and being a teenager and always appreciate their music that i do know. When i was about 12 or 13 i used to love listening to my brother i laws records when i babysat my nieces at my sis and bro in laws. The Cure was one of the albums he had and i always jammed it with headphones on. Also The Cure was one of those like it was ok and cool to like even tho was metalhead. They sure are one i wish i have seen live. Who knows maybe i will get my chance to.
Man o man Smith & The Cure riff on life's darkness & emotions like a poetic Goethe; in very simple powerful terms. These words come to mind: Pathos, Sadness, Romanticism, Longing, Sorrow, Symphonic, Lost Love, Dreams. They tie up in a bow of symphonic electricity. That thing that he does walking around the stage with the lights lit up bright & taking in each face & the moment is oddly like what Bowie use to do.
I'm 54 I heard first time The Cure in 1987,songs from Kiss me..played from radio,by our music teacher Tomasz Beksinski Thousand emotions.. I'm glad that there are lot of us sensitive people all over the world
I love them too my brother Jason Lyle Workman put me on that. My my brother is rip I miss him and when I listen to this band and makes me remember my brother like he's right here❤ this was his favorite band he used to dress up like him
RS sans guitar, good song, welcome back, old cure, lol, i like burn too, when i think about it, colin newman's version is a beaut as well, um, would have been nice to be at this debut, of course, but i am not an industry insider.. fav RS lyric, ".. i never say goodbye ( to my brother) anymore.." Does this man, RS, CARE about how his band's drum's sound or what? Lol.. he almost cares about how much they sound as i do..lol ❤ 😂 ub ( unlucky bastard)
I think it may be from Stephen King's The Shining, specifically the sentence Jack Torrance keeps typing over and over: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"?
"dont give them your oxygen. a good musician only plays whats needed in a song its not some ego trip ive been a pro muso keyboardist for 45 years very rarely do i need to play anything difficult its mostly simple but at home i can do some complicated stuff that no one hears so who knows what he can really play might be shocked

Damn there are haters of this drummer out there??! He’s fucking fantastic!
Jason is absolutely awesome a drummer❤😊
I saw them in Atlanta.. awesome show and Jason sounded great
Same here! Not only he is a great drummer but also his playing seems cut out for The Cure's music. Perfect match!
I do like Cooper too
YOU ARE SO LOVED ROBERT!!❤
This song is such a heartbreaker, love this band so much❤
Just seen them in Ohio on Sunday and they opened with this song, made me cry like a baby. Thank you for posting this video ❤👍
You’re welcome! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I just love how he engages with the audience..looks out at everyone and then smiles - melts my heart🌻

I’m so jealous of your spot! This was probably the best show I’ve been to. Thanks for posting what it was like being so close lol
It was definitely one of the best for me. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing it through my eyes! Cheers!
Following 40 years & never seen them
One of my fave songs. Thank you for uploading this!
Haven't listened to the Cure for about 40 years but this track gives me goosebumps

Robert Smith is one of the treasures of mankind. We are lucky to have him.
Seen Robert and company in Chicago, loved every moment ❤️
Большой привет Роберту Смиту( а по русски - Кузнецову) из Калининграда Россия. Слушаю со школы, когда я был ещё пионером в СССР...
Simon is so awesome he’s Roberts right hand. Amazing bassist ❤❤❤

It's good to see that we're not the only ones who have grown old. Love this voice, since the eightees! ❤❤❤
Robert this song makes me cry, it's a good cry though. You are a beautiful person and gifted.
Yes, a good hard cry. 🫶
I was right near you and the experience was absolutely mind blowing. I’ll never be the same! 🖤🪄
Great recording, you couldn't get any closer without being on stage, lol
Saw them perform June 2023 in Montreal, Great night
Ditto and ditto. Perfection.
Cant wait to hear this on vinil
Masterpiece
you are great, you always were, you always will be
I have tears in my eyes ..Robert welcome back we missed you

Consistently brilliant.
Sheer class.

Can't wait for the New album Love The Cure
homie had a chance to let Robert Smith sing to him and decided it was his time to shine
😂 lol
I've been always a fan of them, I saw them live in Italy in 1989. This song is the perfect synthesis of my life now. I'm crying 😢
Essa música está sensacional. Melancólica, sentimental e bela, ela não sai da minha cabeça. As bandas veteranas dos anos 80 são insuperáveis! ☺️

We are all alone aren't we all all together
I had forgotten, since a long time has passed, to still posses such a kind of chords in my hearth. Thanks Robert for making them vibe again

THE BEST ever
what an atmosphere
The Band of My life.
He's been wearing the same type of shoes since the early 2000s -which is also around the time I started listening to The Cure. And I just love that 😆
Awesome!
Tio Robertinho, que lindo, amo The Cure
Che meraviglia ❤

A real deep cut shows the emotions and loss Robert has endured over the last 16 years. This whole albums for the ones that have lost .Love forever

In the 80s I was a keyboard player for the band The Cure Cover and this song is a trip back to the past. It´s Amazing.
Très très très très bon ❤😊😮😢
Merci Robert
Robert icona assoluta del rock indy post-punk👏👏👏
голос у него не меняется))
такой-же меланхолично-безысходный. как мы любим.
Great
Great to see Bamonte back!
By the way, best band ever, period!
Perry is the best!!!
Muito bonita a música. Smith tá parecendo uma mistura de Bethânia com Hermeto Pascoal 😁.
Halaaaaa his voice is still the same 🥺❤️
Robert
Te aguardamos no Brasil!!! Para um show memorável!! Nós latinos somos mais legais.

That’s Jo brand 😮 💯 percent

Great video. Audio would be better without someone around you trying to sing along but not really knowing all of the words!
Thank you! You are absolutely right. It wasn't me! Lol
❤❤❤
Age cannot wither him, nor custom stale his infinite variety.
Does anyone know what's written on Robert's shirt?
I think it may be from Stephen King's The Shining, specifically the sentence Jack Torrance keeps typing over and over: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"?

Alone hermit you know it.
I heard this on Craig Charles yesterday for the first time. The speakers in my van just don't go loud enough
Arte
So this is the first single?
What album is this song on. Or was it a stand alone single?
its from the album coming out sometime this year
A new cure album finally! Yes!
@@oliver29731all of the new songs sounded so good live. I’m so stoked for the album.
Thanks for sharing
November 1st, 2024. So excited for it to finally be out. Robert's been talking about to the press for five years now.
Who's on keys on the left? Perry Bamonte? Is he back in the band?!
So much better to see him than Roger
@curezilla they're both on stage
@@jacqdanieles - I was going to mention that myself but then thought it was pretty obvious! 😅
@@mightyV444 the way he worded it seemed like he hadn't seen Roger

It would be great except for the fan singing.
é impressão minha ou tinha um brasileiro aí perto kkkk
Roger always looks like the undertaker
Wait I thought this song just came out?
there have been live versions for a few years
@@MadailinBurnhope well shit I thought this was new material for the new album…

Robert Smith urgently needs a mirror.
Joke??👍👍👍👍🎉 Great 👍👍👍👍
Gary Numan on bass, wtf!
Robert Smith is in de jaren 70/80 blijven hangen qua uiterlijk. Kom op man je ziet er niet uit.
je vais pas y aller par 4 chemins, je le dis sans ambages: c'est de la merde. 😆

Intro sounds a little 'Purple Rain'
two keyboarders=?
Einfach furchtbar. Robert Smith ist eine Karikatur seiner selbst.
Die letzten guten Cure Songs waren die von Wild Mood Swings von 1995.
What a way to ruin a good video, the guy singing over Robert's voice
Happy to see them but songs pretty dismal
