When I feel alone, I read comments from fellow Cure fans and I get teary eyed knowing so many of us feel like we do and why we love them so much. How truly and deeply adored Robert is by all of us. If anyone out there reads this, and is getting hit with the feels of what this song represents, and your heart is hurting, I love you and hugs through the ether. Life is so precious and short. And fleeting. Being 46, seeing my entire generation age, all of the loss, the love, the change..the echoes.. it’s heavy times. I know so many of us are feeling the same. Robert Smith deeply affected me with this song. It's beautiful and sad at the same time.

I cried when I saw this in 2023. Been a cure fan for over 30 years and I never cried at any of their shows. But this one didn't for me.
Probably will be the last Cure album they ever release, but they have said this after Disintegration as well. But Robert is 65 years old....
"In July 2020, keyboard player Roger O'Donnell told Classic Pop magazine: "Four years ago, I said to Robert, 'We have to make one more record. It has to be the most intense, saddest, most dramatic and most emotional record we've ever made, and then we can just walk away from it.' He agreed. Listening to the demos, it is that record. I think everybody will be happy with it."
Alone and Endsong certainly fits this description.
I’ve been a fan for 36 years and every time I see them live I’m moved to tears. Their music fills my soul ❤
I completely understand the sentiment. They’ve been my favourite band for 30 years. No band has ever moved me as much. 6 yrs ago I finally got to see them live and it was the highlight of my life second to having my daughter. This year, I get to see them again, with my 13 year old daughter. 🖤

I haven't even been alive as long as you've been a fan. I'm 33. I'm a huge fan of The Cure. I think Robert Smith is the best song writer ever. His songs can fill me with joy, memories of sorrow or love and even more feelings I can't describe. I heard this song for the first time in Toronto in June of this year. It moved me beyond words. ❤❤❤. Here's to another 36.

@@Cyril.Heimburger to be honest I have only just started listening to them again lately I found some old CDs in the loft so will check them out .the IST time I saw them live was at Wembley arena and they were even better than the records .the 2nd time was at Glastonbury .do you know if he's still married to Mary the cure will always have a place in my heart.
Unfortunately I don't know Robert Smith personally, but last I heard they are still married to Mary and him
