I'm rigging up some 5" and 6" skirts (hexhead style) to use for wahoo on the 24s, what lb 49 strand would you use?
Also making up some 6" skirts with 150lb mono for dollys etc and want to know the difference between using the short and long aluminium crimps?
    👍

Hi Ty. 150 pound multi strand will be fine for Wahoo. Crimp size won't matter with light tackle 24kg and under. Large and small crimps will both hold if crimped properly.

Good vid. Im experimenting putting stinger trebles with mono on 5-6inch paddletails. I was trying knots but its very hard to get the mono the exact length when tightening everything. Crimps seem heaps easier.

If you crimped 80lb fluorocarbon would it be an alloy crimp or steel? Thanks
