My brother found a really nice Christian girl on a dating app, they are still currently dating! And my cousin met his wife from christian mingle
@@megsterchick5 Thank you Megan for the encouraging words. I have tried dating apps, including Christian Mingle. Over the past few years I'd say I have spent around $1,500 dollars in subscription fees and in app purchases. All that came from it was a handful of "Cat-Fish" dates. One of which I drove 3 hours to meet. And then there's the plethora of fake profiles that you have to sift through as well. I have even connected with a few GORGEOUS-please-can-I-have-some-of-your-money women. I can count on hand how many real beautiful actual Christian women I have met through dating apps and Christian dating sites. With three of them I ended up not being tall enough for (I'm 5'9") and the other two we just ended up not being a good match for each other. But hey I could still pray about it and see if I get any guidance from God on it. Thank you again Megan. Cheers and God bless 😀
I just feel weird about dating online. It feels as though you are shopping for a spouse. I feel that meeting people in person is much easier, since you get to know the whole person and not just their profile picture/texts. I've also had some somewhat unpleasant experiences on christian dating sites. I'm praying that God will bring the right man in person and I continue to put myself out there and seek first the Kingdom of God!
I agree knowing the person in person is better for me to discern! I didn’t do to well online top.
So true just meeting someone while shopping or while walking and living in that moment you can feel that person vibes while on the app is a lot of text

My husband met online dating site. When we first met online we weren't ready... We completly stopped talking. A few years later I was closer to God and praying daily God would help me find a godly husband. My husband found me again on a different site. I could see he changed for the better too during those few years. We both felt the timing was right. We got to know each other better and eventually married. We have been married 11 years and counting. 😊

Andy Gerdesmeier Actually, there are single people out there who share our Christian values if we really search hard. Dating is hard for everyone, not just us. I guess my problem is traditional church has little or no help for singles as much as they have for married couples.

Nope. It’s more simple. You all made terrible selections. I don’t know a girl looking seriously for a relationship and unable to find a man in a dating app up to 2 months going on few dates.
I think it is individual I personally have been doing online dating for years with no success when I got closer to God and asked for guidance I realized that it was not for me and I should stay away from that personally.
I loved how God just used this video to put me at ease and provide clarity for other areas of my life completely outside of dating. I personally don't like it (not the dating app kind anyway) because I believe it's normalized turning companionship into a shopping experience/objectification and place of entitlement. People used to live in villages or towns and they'd have a few people to pick from if not an arranged thing and it was about forging a community/putting strengths together. Now it's focused on filling a sense of emptiness and idealizing.
We don't live in a chivalrous world anymore. It's normal for men to expect sex in return for a meal or to get harassive and crazy if they are rejected. Women have to be extra careful who they trust themselves with. Discernment is key.
In India , many a times, attractive profiles will come but they might be old age people or bad men. They can throw acid too

Online dating my way always lead to pain and disappoint me. Im a introvert so i dont go out party, or do anything in public area. Now during covid 19 theres nothing to do go out. Theres no church open to even go to..Even thinking of online dating gives me anxiety and uncomfortable feeling.

I have tried online dating and I will admit that it was out of desperation. It hasn’t been easy for me to trust god during my single season since I’ve gone through healing from a toxic relationship three years ago. I know for a fact that God will bless me with the right person in his timing. I won’t allow my flesh to control my desires 💛

One thing I do not seem to find is this: Why is it that everyone assumes that God has a mate/spouse waiting for them. What if God's plan for someone is to remain and grow old single? Is this an abnormal thought (or situation)? Arent'there any instances where individuals are not meant to be in a couple and pursue the traditional need to be married? Why does this scenario seem to inspire pity and the need from others who are well intentioned to reassure someone? What do you, a Christian woman, think about that scenario? Could you do a study on that?
Because God said it is not good for a Man to be alone , so He created a mate for that reason , The Woman.

I have tried dating apps and sites on and off for a while I guess haha Honestly it’s discouraging at times. I’m a pretty shy guy especially when it comes to putting myself out there but at times I do and there’s this surge of confidence until you see no matches haha so then you start doubting yourself and all that and when I do get matches they end up being people catfishing and asking for money and other things after they got you thinking “maybe this could be something.” I do know online dating does work as I’ve had friends and relatives meet on there but like you said it’s pretty much preference. Right now I have a mindset that I would love to meet someone someday and hopefully one day get married but I am happy where I am now and I’m ok with being single. Honestly I’ve never had a gf, so as bad as it may sound you get kind of used to it but I am praying all the time that God prepare me for my future gf/wife that I be the man He wants me to be first so that I can best serve her during our relationship. Right now, like you said I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing and what He’s called me to do 😁
yeah dating apps are certainly not worth the time because it's all based on looks for one thing and the fact we don't get matches is this they want to keep you on the app for as along as possible so the algorithms diliberatly don't give you lots of matches you may get one when you start up the app and than none at all that is the deception of these apps and lots of times the profiles are fake and not real so that is the reason not to trust these dating apps

Always been pursuing women without ever sitting down and pray as to whether or not they are the one God wants me to be with, but your point about God having the ability to guide the person he desires into our life has really waken me up. My biggest issue with online dating/apps is that it just feels so unnatural. No matter how many times I try, I just can't knock this feeling. As a Catholic, some of the apps we have are good because you can make sure you are meeting people who are "practicing" (not just Catholic/Christian in name), but even still, online dating just does not feel natural to me.

I'm an old man and I'm widow. I didn't find my wife online, because when I married her, there wasn't internet and the online dating didn't exist when I married her a long ago, but we were married for 41 years, till she passed away, and we had 3 kids, two girls and a boy. May she Rest in Peace 🙏!
That doesn't mean that people can't find their soulmate online, the love of their lives, because God isn't, as you said, limited.

I did a dating app cause of my sister, I really wasn't looking for someone. I got response from a guy and we met a couple of times but I had to move back to utah. We stayed connected but I felt pushed with some of his responses thus we stopped talking but recently he texted me of our deeply sorry he was and that he regretted what he did. Got to admit it made me blush. I could see a change but I think I am scared. My life is a Tangled story. I have been closed off from everything and Idk how to take the leap of faith. I need to hear from God cause idk what to do.
Nice video and sentiments... it can definitely be inspiring to some. But let's be real... a highly attractive girl will NEVER have a hard time finding someone. So of course you've already met the people you matched with... because EVERYONE wants to know you. God gave you the gift of outer beauty. The Bible uses beauty as important. How many times does it discuss a woman as beautiful and that beauty was essentially a prize.
I think you have a good heart. But whatever you think was difficult for you in dating... it doesn't come close to what others go through. What about the ones that can't find anyone at all ever? What about the ones that the opposite sex doesn't even give them a chance? They go through this their whole life. It's very sad.
Most women can easily be married. We live in a man approach woman society. So you sit there and wait and you take your favorite person, best looking combination with personality, to say hello and I guarantee you ignore the rest. If you are a woman... you don't have a man because you think you are settling for that last man that said hi. You don't look at him the way he looks at you. You think you can do better, while he knows he can't.
Hate sounding negative but women these days don't actually value the men they describe they want. They window shop men far worse than men do to them. Even the Christians. I've literally had multiple Christian women online tell me that if I didn't read the Bible every day... that they would be interested in knowing more about me. Even the seemingly real Christians window shop men just the same. Looks first, everything else second. If you are a single woman... it's most likely your own fault. Especially if you are attractive like this woman in this video.

My personal experience on dating sites is that God did not bring me close enough to even a single coffee date. It was so uncanny how many times I got ghosted or the one I wanted to initiate contact with simply disappeared OR logged on for the last time the day BEFORE I joined. Not to mention all the rejection I had to inflict onto people interested in me also. Online dating just didn't work out so I've now resolved to go to different church groups around my city. Someone please pray that I can at least find someone to start a friendship with. It's been an agonizing ride, but I still trust in God's timing.... just like Joseph in the dungeon I just gotta keep trusting this has all been for a reason no matter how much I mourn and lament the time that I've lost.
