This song is catchy but not iconic in the same way some of their other singles were. This is them trying to be Destiny's Child. This is SUCH an underrated song! It’s one of the top 5 spice girls songs for me. I don’t think people were able to grasp the new sound & look. In the 90’s, they were the literal definition of pop music. Bright, bubbly, fun & then the millennium came and everything was changing. This is R&B and much more adult. All the fun colors they wore, and crazy outfits were gone...so not all the kids & pre-teens who listened to them before caught on. Shame. Victoria has always been beautiful but during this album she was owning it! Her vocals were on point, she was one of the best dancers of the group aside from Mel B, she had more verses and have y’all seen her perform this song? She had so much energy on stage. R&B suited her deep, sultry voice so much better than pop music did. She really came out of her shell during this era
This song is so underrated - such a good rnb tune. And people need to realize music is changing constantly, so I'm happy they went in a new direction, something they wanted to do. Forever is not a bad album, I think it just gets a bad rep because Geri was gone and because it wasn't the same ole pop music they were doing before - so it wasn't the Spice Girls to people. Also, back when they released it in 2000 - it was barely promoted. Around this time Mel C was REALLY over the Spice Girls.
All of them were doing solo stuff by the time they did this. They should have taken time off, but they were in the rush to finish this for some weird reason.
Victoria looks amazing in this video and her dance moves spot on! I can’t believe how under rated she was in this group! But I still love all of them! Spice girls forever!!! ❤️❤️🤗
@Lauren Lattin Ikrrr right! She was sooo underrated in the band! Loved her style as well! They’re all so unique in their own way! I guess that’s why we love them❤️ We can all relate with at least one of them 💕
Noe Cases she is. one of the best dancers and the business brain of the group. while not being the most talented singer, she could definitely sing better than ginger. she just happened to be underrated bc of her subdued nature but she ended up being the only spice girl people recognize today. how ironic...
@@undermyvelvetrope4710 the brain of the group? Hahahaha funny joke. Ginger can sing better than her, she's the worst spice and only did poses. Why she didn't want the original part in her verse 2 become 1 and ginger did it? And also didn't want to sing it in Spanish. Now the group is perfect
I can't believe it!! 20 years!! it feels like yesterday!! I still remember running to my room and record the song from the radio in a casette haha I feel too old!! Best era ever!! I wanna make you holler!!!!
Such a fantastic well-crafted song. Fresh off of TLC’s No Scrubs, Mariah’s X-Girlfriend, Vitamin C’s The Itch, and P!NK’s perfect 1st album. It aged very good too.
Greetings from 🇧🇷! I love the Spice Girls' songs very much! 2021 is almost ending up! And 2022 is the 20th anniversary of the "Brazilian Spice Girls", Rouge! Remembering them, I remember of the late TV host Augusto (Gugu) Liberato. I'm 22, they was part of my childhood. They often was on his shows almost every sunday at evening!
Fantine, who lives in Europe, she lives in the Netherlands, in The Hague, suffered a big pain with his lost! Li Martins (Patrícia) too! (In 2017, in one of Gugu's shows, this time on a new week day, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday nights, Fantine, who came from the Netherlands and Aline recovered with him to watching Patrícia's 4 year old daughter, named Antonella, to born! It was too cute! And she's very grateful for him!)
hands down the best spice girls song....no matter what everyone else says this jam was ahead of its time too bad didnt get enough airplay back then...its obvious the girls were not bothered anymore especially sporty
Agreed!!!! I loved them as a quartet. From all the interviews & stuff, it seemed Victoria was the one who was really in charge of this era behind the scenes. But with just one link in the chain (Mel C) off in solo land (& overwhelmed, I imagine), & Emma & Melanie B seeming more "whatever happens, happens" in this era, you can tell Victoria was making a lot of calls.
2.2k thumbs down?! Get off! This is Spice Girls' most underappreciated song. It's still a total banger in 2019. I loved the image change. The urban direction suited the early 00's.
@@malachi5021 Behave! It was rubbish compared to the first two. Spice and Spiceworld are unapologetic pop masterpieces. Forever was just a obviously desperate attempt to look cool and be took more serious.

Vic shines bright like a diamond🖤
I think this might be my favorite spice girl song
This song is so underrated - such a good rnb tune. And people need to realize music is changing constantly, so I'm happy they went in a new direction, something they wanted to do. Forever is not a bad album, I think it just gets a bad rep because Geri was gone and because it wasn't the same ole pop music they were doing before - so it wasn't the Spice Girls to people.
Also, back when they released it in 2000 - it was barely promoted. Around this time Mel C was REALLY over the Spice Girls.
yeah people were missing Geri. The album cover was awful though, didn't look like Spice Girls at all.
All of them were doing solo stuff by the time they did this. They should have taken time off, but they were in the rush to finish this for some weird reason.
@@Marc-zi5cq And it’s also a near exact copy of Destiny’s Child’s debut album cover (even down to the typeface).
I guess that’s why we love them❤️ We can all relate with at least one of them 💕
Ya she's my favorite!
Lauren Lattin because she is not good
Noe Cases she is. one of the best dancers and the business brain of the group. while not being the most talented singer, she could definitely sing better than ginger. she just happened to be underrated bc of her subdued nature but she ended up being the only spice girl people recognize today. how ironic...
I love how distinctive their voices are. Emma’s tone is so cute and playful. Mel C is power and thrust.
Exatamente
This clip still fits with 2019, probably til more years coming. Great!
Victoria really delivered. Well done, girl!
Yea she upped her dancing. I was like gone posh lol
She used a double
@@noecases5940 Yeah, right.
Doesn’t she have a dancing background though? Because I think she did ballet with Emma back when they were kids
@@abeisgr8 That's what I've heard.
hands down the best spice girls song....no matter what everyone else says this jam was ahead of its time too bad didnt get enough airplay back then...its obvious the girls were not bothered anymore especially sporty
Scary spice is gorgeous 💕, I can’t take my eyes off her ❤️
Such a Beautiful woman 😍
best looking by far!
I think she won a beauty pageant before joining the group!
yes, I wanted to contribute here - she's goregeous and so fit in this video! makes me wanna do my workout :D
2016 =) and I'm still listening to this song!!! Welcome to the 20th spice anniversary!
2016 - I'm still listening to it too!
+Luiz Gustavo Mendes I feel soooo old...........
+Luiz Gustavo Mendes i remember adding my own lyrics to this song
It's 2018 now, and I love the song
May 2018 and loveeee this song
Still can't look away when I play them. Such great memories of performing Spice Girls with my friends as a kid.
The year is 2024 them girls still rocking the airwaves, slappin ! Much Love from 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
2.2k thumbs down?! Get off!
This is Spice Girls' most underappreciated song. It's still a total banger in 2019. I loved the image change. The urban direction suited the early 00's.
King Kami Geri couldn’t sing though....
King Kami Yet they proved themselves without her in Forever which is their best album.
King Kami It’s their best album in every way except commercial
@@malachi5021 Behave! It was rubbish compared to the first two. Spice and Spiceworld are unapologetic pop masterpieces. Forever was just a obviously desperate attempt to look cool and be took more serious.
Craig Callaghan Forever was a great album but it was just too repetitive. Skip through each song of the album and realise all but 2 or 3 sound the same. Spice and Spiceworld were their masterpieces! My personal favourite is Spice though ❤️
Wow 18yrs later and that background graphics still look almost real
😂😂😂
Yeah! 👍⚡⚡
TRUE ! 💙
Questionable
21 years later and I agree
This song is like wine. as years go by, it gained more flavor.
Adoro as batidas dessa música! Nem parece que tem tanto tempo! Posso repetir mil vezes que soa muito atual!💙🇧🇷
Eu também kkk
My favorite Spice Girls song
Nobody ever talk about Victoria's vocal that actually for me personally is cool and nice. Not only for this track but also in another songs of them.
I agree. She could hold a tune well. I liked her voice.
@@QueenAmethyst55 yes, her voice sounds so cool as posh and also very calming.. so i'm sad why most people think that she cannot sing.
Her vocals really improved during the Forever era and she really shines on the album
@@QueenAmethyst55 her voice is lovely and she was my favorite spice girl I had such a Crush on Posh as a kid lol
Yes I always love her voice.
Mel B is everything on this since RNB is her element.
Actually I don't think it is. Shes still from UK her solo album flopped because they just threw her in R&B (because shes black?) and she didn't even get a say :(
She is the best
@@TheColeTruth lol damn that sucks lol
@@TheColeTruth wtf are u talking about? We talkin about the VIDEO and SONG. Not her solo career. What a dumb comment.
Mel B look so beautiful, i don't see enough message about her. She's amazing and people should give her more pops, without her Spice Girls are not the same. Love you Mel B !!
Mel b just in her element here ! So much swag
Fire
The Spice Girls will always be my fav girl band..their voices just blend in perfect harmony ☺☺... Love them all equally ❤❤
THE MOST UNDERRATED SONG IN POP HISTORY
why do you say that?
It's a superb track!
I totally agree
This song ignited my love and appreciation for Posh Spice. I love her vocals in this song.

This song used to be my jam. I really liked it and then, I found out it was from Spice Girls and I was so happy. They came out with a "big girl" song.
This track still sounds FAB to this day! Timeless in my opinion!!
I watched this video a lot when I was a teenager... Good times, when MTV was MUSIC Television
I remember the days
odd I thought it was huge. i mean it made the trl top five us Version. #3 was it's peak.
Rafaela Silva soooo fuckin' true!
it is a good video, isn't it? good song with it too👏👏💃😀😇😇😝love it!!!!!!!!
The fashion hasn’t changed since the year 2000.
