Geri Halliwell really was IT at this time in the groups existence she had the look down to a tee in this video she was like the Lady Gaga of the Spice Girls. I wasn't surprised she was the one to leave first as she obviously had the most potential in a solo career at this time. Mel C obviously had the voice but Geri had the package.
I think Scary Spice was IT in the first video. But they all played off each other remarkably well as opposed to those others groups which try to make the cookie cutter pretty one the focal point.
Geri left because she was unhappy and on top of it her nekkid photos came out, putting pressure on her that she wasnt a good role model for young girls. Mel B is the bomb :) she can MOVE.
I always felt Ginger was #2 to Baby, because Baby was so likable. Nothing about Baby could ever offend anybody or cause controversy. Plus, the earlier part of their career saw them selling music mostly to children, adding more to Baby's appeal.
I personally think over indulging in any type of image, too thin or too big is bad for younger people watching. Why aren't we striving for healthy!? I personally don't listen to ANY new music now a days like Nicki Minaj and all that shit. It's just brainwashing nonsense. Talking about fucked up shit. No meaning. Plus the music I listen to is 10000 times better than their shit anyways. I just feel bad for the youth lol

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic! (Different Doctor, but still.)
back in the good old days when it was spice girls vs backstreet boys
I thought it was Spice Girls vs Hanson?
The producer went in, on this beat!
bizzzzle AGREED!!! Great sounds from start to finish.
+pk movies
+bizzzzle lol real shit man, you know he was feeling this shit with every bit of energy he had
The music was written and composed by Biff (from Biffco).
However he was not the record producer. The songs were produced by a management group, sorry I forgot their name, and virgin records.
bizzzzle I bet this beat was fun af to make lol. They were lucky that they got to make such good music.
Neil Patrick Harris was absolutely brilliant in the episode
Hippity hoppity, this is now a Time Lord property.
Oh, well, that's alright then
POV: Doctor Who fans on their way back to watching the show now that RTD is back.
This video deserves way more views than this. This was the absolute pop jam of 1997.
Spice Girls: The best representation of Pop music. Love them!
Right, who's gonna admit it guys? This song is a guilty pleasure.
my favorite spice girls song.
Just when I thought Doctor Who couldn’t get anymore bonkers, throw in Spice Girls
3.3 thousand people don’t know how to slam it to the left, or shake it to the right...
Amen
WORST. 3.8 don't know how to SPICE UP THEIR LIFE
And it shows
😂😂😅 honestly
Weaver Oznerol this made me laugh!
Damn you RTD, I can't get this song out of my head now. Did I say damn you? I meant thank you.
2020 and this song still sounds futuristic. Amazing 👍
My enema induced farts sound more futuristic
In 3 years yes It will be
This song will forever be catchy.
Geri: Flamenco
Mel C: Lambada
Mel B: But hip-hop is harder
Victoria: We moon walk the fox-trop
Emma: Then polka, the salsa
+Ionathan Mraz fox trot
Omg I read this at the same time they were singing it.
+Ionathan Mraz *then polka the salsa
+I Am Awesome Me too lmaooo
+Ionathan Mraz we moon walk the foxtrot ;)
Happy to see my childhood memories again on a Doctor Who episode. That Toymaker scene was fire.
Please..don't EVER insult Geri Halliwell by comparing her to that 2nd rate Madonna clone wannabe Gag-Me ever again..=/
jasperwellington11 I see ur point. I did mean Gaga at her very best tho I know she's shit now.
This song makes me happy. Every time I hear it, I have to get up and dance. Spice up my life like the song says. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I feel like turning galaxies into spinning tops
Why isn't music still like this
Because now it's all about sex, drugs and being super skinny making a perfect image, music isn't the same, it worse in my PERSONAL opinion
I honestly couldn't agree with you more. If I could thumbs up 100 times I would haha. Where is our innocence anymore!!
because music now and days is done with more technology that drowns out the actual talent and enjoyment of the music and music video
+Katie Atwell Being super skinny? Some of the most popular songs, by Meghan Trainor and Nicki Minaj, are about being not skinny.
This Spice Girls'music video predicted the future and it's happening now!
What do you mean happen now like , HUH ?
As expected all the Whovians showed up after tonight's episode.
I've only just noticed how seemingly futuristic and... hip and just awesome this very clip appeard to me back then in 93'... 20 years later I still love to listen to it, thankks Spices
You mean '97, not '93, but yeah 👍
Yeah it was 96 or 97
Anyone here after the giggle?
I mean Doctor who and the spice girls what a brilliant idea and with NPH dancing it’s just beautiful
This song makes me want to bend reality to my will and dance while roses fly around me
Suddenly I feel like turning guys into a bunch of balls
Real talk that part is so dark though imagine being left in a state of constant terror as a plastic ball
What I love is that the spice girls massively popular, great British icons and yet all of the top comments are about one of the greatest tv shows of all time. Doctor who truly sky rocketed this song
The biggest pop female groupe in history
Marc Santo the biggest pop female group in history, over 14 million views, and barely 2k subscribers, barely. What does say about the loyalty of their fans.
You aren't actually being serious are you?
WHAt youtube thing when they were huge! The internet was a baby! It's actually pretty crazy that they have this many views when the song is so old!! Y
Yes the biggest girl group in history!!!
20 years anniversary this year
As a latin men I can't help myself dancing in secret this song..Greetings from Colombia South America...
Good Evening Whovians!
voice of Mel C is absolutely another level from these girls...
Funny enough, I literary finished watching the new Doctor Who special episode and it played this song. I came to this video to have a proper listen and the song is so catchy and feels thriller vibe. You know? Spooky but fun at a same time.
Here after the epic entrance of the Toymaker, iconic. 🎉❤
does anyone remember how HUGE this video was?!?
Lool yeahh! And I used to want SO SO bad to Be on a kind of skateboard like theirs and to Be able to fly like them... 😇
I do. 1997 was on one hand "Breathe" by The Prodigy, and on the other this song.
setheurovision94 r
I do. I was 24 years old. Today I'm 51 and still loves the tune. Good times.
Ever since the 90’s we’ve spiced up our life’s
Maybe not in a good way though.
This band was my whole life when I was a child. ♥︎ Sporty and Posh are my favourites. ♡♡
What an entry song for such an incredible villain. Doctor Who is back with a bang!
This song is so ahead of its time. This shit could’ve came out now and I wouldn’t even question it being a new pop song. I just love them all so much. But the Mel’s had such a presence.
The long waited 4K of the best video...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Alvaro Bastos can you explain the 4K to me, like how? Through here? Or tv?
