The older I get, the more I appreciate Balance & Brighten. It *is* so forgiving, not just in the shades but also the way it behaves on textured, aging skin. It doesn't creep in and spotlight lines or pores like a lot of foundations do, nor does it get all blotchy and weird within a few hours of wear. Now LG has come out with a tinted moisturizer with SPF 50 that I'm also enjoying. I haven't tried layering the two yet, but I probably will at some point.
Male fan aged 58, I use and love this, it is so easy to apply and a very light targeted application is very discrete, ‘your skin but better’ evens things out, not cakey
Laura Geller now has 3 blush finishes: the original shimmery, the more satin finish and, most recently, matte. 😊 She also has the Double Take Baked Foundation that is a lovely, velvety matte.
This has been a staple for me for many years, so I'm really happy to see it get some love! The balance and bronze is my all time fave bronzer and the vanilla as well as the honey highlighters are just beautiful. I wish Ulta would carry Laura again! And I was introduced to her thru QVC too!!! ✌️💜🦋
Ooooooo this looks very intriguing! Haven’t tried Laura Geller since gilded honey was popular. Also you’re almost at 4 Million subs!! Not that numbers matter but I just love seeing your success all these years! Truly one of my inspirations as a MUA 🙌🏼
I wore balance and brighten for my wedding. Made my skin look so lovely. ❤ glad to see it highlighted by you in this video. Laura Geller makes makeup that’s high quality and works for so many people
I’m 61 and have been using Laura Geller since I was 40. I experiment with so many other foundations and always come back to this! I love the quickness of application, how it balances out my redness and I don’t have to get my hands dirty!! I can apply it with my eyes closed. I can’t say enough about it and am so happy to see you doing a review. I am curious as to which brush you used. I use the angle retractable one from Geller but like the one you used which seemed to have more of a compact head. Love Laura Geller!!
The only time I’ve had it settle in lines is marionette lines but that’s only if I haven’t blended well. Don’t keep adding more to your brush. The amazing thing about this foundation is you apply a little and step away for a minute and when you look back in mirror, it looks great and you realize you don’t need more! I’ve adjusted my moisturizer and primer as I’ve aged but continue using this foundation.
@cmkuhn1208 I couldn't agree with you more. It is fantastic! I'm 57, and this product gives me the very best coverage than any other product on the market. I like to take a small brush and dip it into the lightest part of the pan and use it to highlight the inside part of my eyes near the nose and my cupids bow❤
I’m 61 also, and it definitely settles into my lines and texture. Regardless of the skin prep or application method. I loved it when I was younger, and recently tried it again several times. Now it just highlights the flaws. Light application hides nothing, building coverage becomes cakey. So I t’s a definite no now. But I think it’s just one of those products that is a holy grail for some and a catastrophe for others. My advice is to try it. You may be in the grail group.
Laura Geller products are extraordinary! I've been using this powder foundation for ten years now, and can't imagine a future without it. Her blushes, highlighters, and eye shadows are all amazing. Her brushes are top quality as well. Laura Geller delivers quality and beauty!!!
I used this foundation (light) for the first time this morning. Great product. Covered up my 63 year old spots very well. Nice and light, easy to apply.❤️
I love Laura Geller, I use the double baked and love the finish. Completely agree with the color range, I'm not quite fair and definitely not light but can make both work.
I absolutely love your tan ; you are seriously getting younger !! I’ve been watching for a couple of years now and it’s not fair I tell you!!! Lol all the loves to you ❤❤❤ thanks for the knowledge !
Thanks for giving Laura’s product some love. I like balance and brighten on its own or on top of a light tinted moisturizer. Makes the skin love lovely.
I use this too. I’m porcelain in the winter and light in the summer. I’m a flippin bottle of milk, complexion wise. It’s a fantastic product and I still buy mine from QVC too. 😊 Edit: it’s perfect for travelling.
Another "cream and roses" here! And I never ever tan, I just burn and peel. I may have to think about trying this. My skin is super oily and powder foundation doesn't always work well for me. 😉
I love this foundation and wear the light in the illuminating. Im 78 years young and with the Florida heat you would think a powder foundation wouldn’t work but it’s fantastic. A light setting spray and I’m set for the day. Wayne you are so right a powder to a cream!
I recently purchased this and let me tell you…I LOVEEEEE it so much that I no longer wear liquid foundations…I’m 47 and have noticed that liquid foundation was just sitting on my skin and would just look horrible as the day passed. I came across this product on Pinterest and gave it a try. It truly is so beautiful. I’m a customer for life.
It's wonderful that you enjoy the Laura Geller line of wonderful products. I met her once on the Street in NYC and gave her a compliment and she was kind and fun.
I just started wearing this, I’m 62 and it looks so good on my skin. I was really surprised. I also purchased on QVC 🤣 could no beat that deal. I’ve noticed with this heat wave the makeup stays really well and I don’t look greasy
I’ve recently returned to this powder foundation as I’m wearing a lot less now than pre-pandemic. Love how it wears throughout the day. Gives my skin a natural finish. Easy and very forgiving as you mentioned.
Hi Wayne, I must say you look absolutely amazing!!! I honestly have not seen one of your videos for at least 5 years and I can honestly say you look 10 years younger...so beautiful!
I've been using that Laura Geller product for about 6 months now and I love love this product! What I do is stiple it first and then blend it in. When I tell you that the poor's on my nose and my chin and cheek area completely disappear, I am not lyin! I highly recommend her to everyone.❤
I don’t love the Spackle, but the baked foundations and blushes are a favorite . I keep a couple of the foundations and blushes around all the time. They look really good on my 58 year-old skin and they’re so easy to apply.
I’ve been using this for years! Absolutely love it, it’s the only way I can wear foundation. I cannot wear liquid foundations. Laura geller makes my skin look amazing 🤩 I’ve always worn fair as medium is too dark for me
Last time I used this foundation it really oxidised on me. I put it on in the morning, then drove for an hour and a half to see my parents and by the time I got there I looked like an oompaloompa😂! I used the fair shade and had used it with success previously. I just don't think it sits well with certain moisturisers. Just be aware xxx
I wish that I understood oxidation. Sometimes it seems a factor of product interaction, sometimes temperature, or some combination. Mortifying to leave the house looking fine, then arrive as "caution orange" 🙄
I love Laura Gellar and her products too! I have deep skin, but I followed your advice from another video, and I always get powder foundations a few shades lighter than my skin because they usually oxidize on me. I have that foundation, and it's nice. I like it. Thanks for the video!
When I hit menopause, my skin changed dramatically and my usual foundation suddenly looked horrific on my skin no matter what I did. I switched to Laura Geller and instantly fell in love. It never settles in my lines, creases, wrinkles or pores. But... I agree about the shade range. It's not quite as forgiving as she claims. Light is a bit too light and yellowy. Medium is a bit too dark and orangey. So I bought them both and custom blend to match, which they do. With my oily/combo skin though, the foundation still wears off in 6-8 hours now that it's summer, even with the use of primer, setting spray and plenty of powder.
Omg Wayne I just bought this last week for the first time and it ROCKS! It looks like skin! I've tried it with the spackle primer and it's just what I need. Hope all is well!
Would you believe, Wayne, I JUST (10 minutes ago!!!!) picked up the Light version of LG in my mailbox!!!???? Can’t wait to try and loved your post on application!!!!
I love LG baked and balance foundations, especially the illuminating one. It’s gorgeous! I also like the original one as well. I do use the sparkle primer too. Her blushes are outstanding!
The old version of LG (when she owned it and started out on QVC) did not have TALC in it. Last batch I bought (after she sold her company I think) contained TALC. I went and read the box when I noticed the wrinkles under my eyes were weirdly more pronounced than they had been.
I have been using this for years!! I’m right there with you about the fair and porcelain. I have one of each and use both to achieve the color I need. I wish they would make a half porcelain and half fair pan!! Just a thought!!
I love Laura's balance and brighten and have used it for years. I can't bear the feel of liquid foundation on my skin and this feels weightless but covers my rosacea. Cant be without it.
I switched to the Balance-n-Glow several years ago and love how it looks and wears. No sparkle on me, just less “flat”. And, yes, I agree that the blush colors are beautiful. I’ve been using LG products for more than 20 years (usually from QVC) and still love them. Now that I’m 71, the only difference is that I MUST use moisturizer and primer before the powders.
I just turned 50 and have used Laura Geller since my early 20's. I used Balance and Brighten on my wedding day, as well as Ethereal Rose blush and spackle primer. Love love love her products. Sometimes I use the balance and brighten over a light liquid foundation. Not tried it? Definitely give it a go!
I’m a huge fan of Laura Gellar, was also introduced to her by QVC, powder foundation blends so easily almost don’t need a mirror and does not look dry and caked. I do like both the balance and brighten and balance and glow, shade match is very forgiving because of the variety of pigments in her foundation. I also have have a palette with her vanilla highlighter, a blush and eyeshadows, was so inexpensive and it lasts so long. Love it!
I’ve been wearing Balance and Brighten for years and I love it. You are so right with what you said about the fair shade though. I wish there was an option between porcelain and fair.
Hi Wayne. I'm with your channel from years and what I love about you& make you so unique is You! Honesty, high standards, genuine, professional! And no 21st centurt "drama"! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love that you shop on QVC too. But I'm pretty much lighter than you and the fair matches perfect. Anyhoo I love all her products. Expecting a lot of Laura's products today from QVC! I love your tutorials! This one made my day, Thank you for doing this post❤❤❤❤
I💚this product! It’s coverage is so good and you are so right about the colors. Fair is too golden and porcelain is too light for my complexion. I hope she adds more shades.
I have both the Brighten and the Glow one. I need to revisit these because every time I've used them, my skin ends up looking super dry and it cracks. But I want to keep giving it another chance.
I would love to use this product but for several shades talc is the first ingredient and on other shades it’s the second ingredient. For me personally I try to avoid talc. Also, many thanks to you for all the wonderful videos that give so much information.
I struggled and spent a lot of $ for so long to find the right foundation, as my skin tends to be a bit dry. The word powder turned me off. However, when I first tried this it blew me away! I use it all of the time and get compliments on my skin. No more slick, movable, or cakey look for me. Note: I use a high end skincare regime am and pm.
@@Mataylor17 my dry skin was coming with my age I think, I'm 71 and have to use more creamy products now, but the LG works for me... other powders don't.
I'm a guy and wear this daily and its so so so easy to use. (medium, i'm ginger/freckles and have pink undertone) I put time into buffing into skin and its a good no makeup daily summer look. I just use a blush with it and looks really natural and healthy. Base I use a light moisturiser mixed with a drop of strobe cream. Then I use benefit gimme brow for eyelashes and brows. I think LG is really good as starter makeup (simple to use and effective results) and works really well on my 40 plus skin. No cake at all and flawless finish.
I’m using the Macrene tinted moisturizer/SPF as my base-insanely expensive, but it is gorgeous and stays put-and the Laura Geller Face and Body Glow in Ginger. Since it’s going on top, I use a light hand and it adds very light glow. Just a little color since the SPF is a mineral.
I have been using this for years! I own all the shades and mix them as needed as my skin color changes throughout the year. I'm glad to know that you love them too❤
I've been using Laura Geller foundation and spackle since my mid 20s. I'm now 39. As I've gotten older, my skin has gotten drier. During the winter months, I use the foundation as a setting powder over UD's Hydromaniac Skin Tint or Wet 'n Wild's Tinted Hydrator. It works beautifully. If I want fuller coverage from the foundation I will mix Porcelain and Fair together. I only use Porcelain as a setting powder because the Fair is too dark and has way too much yellow in it for my complexion.
I agree, fair is light-to-medium if i was using another brand. Porcelain is way to light even for me in winter so although i can use fair when i'm tan i usually mix the fair with porcelain to get somewhat of a match. I love the product and only tried it after your videos on it years and years ago
Wayne, your bare skin at the start of this video is GORGEOUS. You no longer need makeup. You look perfect, with a lovely glow😊😊
Thanks ! Great review . I like ‘your skin but better ‘ - just what I’m looking for!
Same age, female, and exactly what I’m looking for too. Thank you!
56 y/o female here and ditto! Purchasing! ❤
I'm so pleased to see someone I trust showing me how to use a product I actually have at home and use on myself. Thanks!
Laura Geller now has 3 blush finishes: the original shimmery, the more satin finish and, most recently, matte. 😊 She also has the Double Take Baked Foundation that is a lovely, velvety matte.
You’re looking super healthy and glowy here! ❤
I was just about to say the same thing!!
I haven’t heard anything about Laura Geller for ages and today I’ve seen 6 posts about it… I think this might be a sign 🫣
This has been a staple for me for many years, so I'm really happy to see it get some love! The balance and bronze is my all time fave bronzer and the vanilla as well as the honey highlighters are just beautiful. I wish Ulta would carry Laura again! And I was introduced to her thru QVC too!!!

I so agree!! Laura geller cosmetics are terrific!!
I’ve watched you forever and your skin has never looked so wonderful!
I thought so too. Very plump and fresh looking!
I agree!
Ooooooo this looks very intriguing! Haven’t tried Laura Geller since gilded honey was popular. Also you’re almost at 4 Million subs!! Not that numbers matter but I just love seeing your success all these years! Truly one of my inspirations as a MUA 🙌🏼

I used this foundation (light) for the first time this morning. Great product. Covered up my 63 year old spots very well. Nice and light, easy to apply.❤️
Thank You, Mr Goss for validating my experience with the shade differences! 🙂
I love Laura Geller, I use the double baked and love the finish. Completely agree with the color range, I'm not quite fair and definitely not light but can make both work.
Absolutely gorgeous! I was waiting for your review as my confirmation. Simplicity works!

I see he’s had fillers and Botox, but it looks fabulous on him!
I’ve been using this since the first time she was on QVC! My favorite foundation of all time! Glad to see it get love here! ❤❤❤
Wayne, almost at 4 mil! Woo hoo!
I really like the Laura Geller foundation, been using it for many years. Glad you're giving it a shout-out!
I love your reviews and I love Laura Gellar !!! 4:25
Thanks for giving Laura’s product some love. I like balance and brighten on its own or on top of a light tinted moisturizer. Makes the skin love lovely.
Been using Laura's product for years and love it. Glad to see it get some recognition.
Been using LG for years! Great all around! She sold the company a few years back LG still represents the company so, so far so good!
I still buy from qvc too! No shame lol! 😊 another great video, per usual!
They have the BEST sales!!

Another "cream and roses" here! And I never ever tan, I just burn and peel. I may have to think about trying this. My skin is super oily and powder foundation doesn't always work well for me. 😉

I'm a Geller gal and I'm 69. I can't see myself ever going back to liquid foundation.
It's wonderful that you enjoy the Laura Geller line of wonderful products. I met her once on the Street in NYC and gave her a compliment and she was kind and fun.

I LOVE LG baked foundations!!! But shhhh 🤫 … I don’t want them to sell out! TY for featuring these!!
I love Laura Geller products, I wear balance and glow, with her champagne sparkle underneath, gives a lovely glow to the skin.
I don’t love the Spackle, but the baked foundations and blushes are a favorite . I keep a couple of the foundations and blushes around all the time. They look really good on my 58 year-old skin and they’re so easy to apply.
Love Laura Geller products, especially the spackel in champagne
I’ve been considering this powder for months now. Now I’m convinced
I’ve been using this for years! Absolutely love it, it’s the only way I can wear foundation. I cannot wear liquid foundations. Laura geller makes my skin look amazing 🤩 I’ve always worn fair as medium is too dark for me
Me too. I shift between Light & Fair
The shades can be variable on the balance n brighten, I love the double take one and her blushes are out of this world .
I use three different colors all at once. I love all of the baked blushes too.
One of my favorite foundations, I love the blushes too
Last time I used this foundation it really oxidised on me.
I do like it, but it does oxodize.
Happens to me, too.
Love her makeup. I have been using it for years.

Balance and Bronze is the BEST BRONZER‼️ I’ve used all of the best rated bronzers…always go back to it❤️❣️ & QVC has theBEST DEALS‼️❤️❣️❇️
I’ve been considering buying this. Now I definitely am.
Laura Geller blushes are the best out there. In my opinion 😊
I agree with you on the Light and Fair - same for me - I end up combining the two
I have Laura Geller and it is very helpful to see how you use it.
Would you believe, Wayne, I JUST (10 minutes ago!!!!) picked up the Light version of LG in my mailbox!!!???? Can’t wait to try and loved your post on application!!!!
Wayne, you look so incredibly radiant!❤
I love LG baked and balance foundations, especially the illuminating one. It’s gorgeous! I also like the original one as well. I do use the sparkle primer too. Her blushes are outstanding!

Wayne makes everything look amazing!
Her Tahitian fFace and Body Glow powder is equally AMAZING. So pretty as an all over bronzer for body and face.
I agree, fair is light-to-medium if i was using another brand. Porcelain is way to light even for me in winter so although i can use fair when i'm tan i usually mix the fair with porcelain to get somewhat of a match. I love the product and only tried it after your videos on it years and years ago
I love love love Balance n Brighten. I'm 49 and it is my go-to along with shade 9 of your foundation.
Your skin looks amazing!
I’ve used this product for a long time, it’s so good 💕
I love her products. I combine Fair with Light powder foundation, and it looks really nice. Not as nice as handsome Wayne though. ❤
I dearly love LG. Ive worn it for years! I have used QVC to order. I love to watch her demo's. She started the Spakle to use before any make up.
