As a disabled veteran this song and others like it affect me deeply. I still bleed army green and would sacrifice myself today for my country. Even though I have been out of service for 30 yrs
As the Mom of a former Marine, they are required to write a final letter to someone they love, in case they don't make it back. Thank God I never got one of these as my son returned after 3 deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom safe and sound.
Such a touching song. Thank you all of those who have served our country. Freedom isn't free. Bless them all. All gave some, some gave all. Tim McGraw wrote this along with Brad and Brett Warren.
Thank you for reacting! I didn’t mean to make y’all cry! This is a rough song to listen to because it’s just so real and heartbreaking. Every generation of my family has served since the American Revolution, and my husband has been an active duty Marine for the last 18 years♥️
This old fourth generation vet just found your channel. Going to grab a chair and watch your reaction. You should check out Tom MacDonald and Dax. You might like them. #HOG! Enjoyed your reaction.
I know this song is about the people serving in the Military, But it could apply to "Police Officers," just as easily. (Most of the Police Officers I know have served or are serving.)
Aussie combat vet The type of operations l was involved with my family were never going to know what happened but there was an understanding on my recon team about our death letters 🇦🇺🇺🇸
As a former Army attack helicopter pilot with combat experience, I put my family and friends through hell wondering if I would come home. I did…many friends didn’t. Thank you for your reaction.
This is going to sound weird, but yall remind me of my dad Ron, and stepmom Ester( rip dad)and as a 5th generation veteran 😢this is for all the Veterans past and present🫡🇺🇸

The most valuable things in life come at a high price. To those that served and didn't make it home, thank you.
No genre of music is more patriotic than Country music!
