I think that Judy is most beautiful in "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I fell head over heals in love with her, as did millions of others. She was the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. The combination of Judy's beauty, inside and out. Her exquisite voice and raw talent was like nothing I'd ever seen. It's the most perfect song to artist ever. I believe it's been named the most universal song ever written. Thank you for another great video!
100% agree with your choices. It struck me how many choices were films Vincente Minnelli directed. He really did bring out and showcase her beauty like no other director.
I think that it is laughable that the Execs at MGM used to tell Judy that she was ugly. Her looks have stood the test of time far better than some of the so called glamour girls of the era, many of whom now look very artificial. I agree with many of your choices and it is refreshing to see that you have selected some of your images when Judy was older. She could still be very glamorous albeit with a more sophisticated look. My very favourite moment of Judy on film is the sequence in Summer Stock when she sings ‘friendly star’. The close ups in this number are breathtakingly beautiful.
This is a wonderful piece. Very well researched. She is breathtaking in the "Embraceable You" number from "Girl Crazy." The very revealing costume shows off every inch of her amazing body. This was, as you point, the apex of her remarkable beauty, enhanced by her wit, humor and, of course, that voice. I just subscribed.
When the execs at MGM told her she was ugly, it had to have been a joke. It's impossible that they actually believed that. I've always thought she was absolutely gorgeous, and she's become my beauty icon, but my "wow" moment came in "Mack the Black" (a song from her 1948 movie "The Pirate" with Gene Kelly). Something about her during that song LITERALLY took my breath away. She's absolutely stunning. I'm so jealous of her beauty.😅❤️ It's so sad that she never saw herself the way we see her. She was so much more beautiful than she gave herself credit for.😍
I love all your choices! I remember telling my little sister about what MGM did to Judy too make her beautiful because they thought she was ugly, too which she responded: “Why Would they Do That? She’s so beautiful”
Her TV series, definitely. A child is waiting.... incredible performance. Her deep care for the children shows... she wasn't pretending. Love you Judy forever.
06:24 Judy's beauty is reflected in her state of health and mind. All her ducks were in a row this time: weight, voice, and a positive attitude about the film and her colleagues. The critics noted that aside from her lovely singing, she really had comedic chops. Production costs came in slightly under budget and the film was a box office smash.
I always thought she was very exotic looking. Those dark eyes, full lips and coloring she could play anyone on screen. My favorite Judy beauty moment is Lily Mars. She’s healthy looking, gorgeous and plays her role so sexy and adorable 🥰
Judy is exquisitely gowned and coiffed during “My Melancholy Baby,” in the Born in a Trunk sequence from A Star is Born. She looks (and sounds) stunning here. ❤
The only time in her life when her beauty was dim was in those final months in 1969, otherwise, I believe Judy Garland was the most beautiful woman on earth. I prefer her natural beauty, that is, not the look that was the result of weight-loss pills and starvation diets. Though still beautiful, she's far too thin and frail, not healthy...and in those years she wasn't healthy! I think that she's most beautiful when she had a more normal weight, because she was also a happier person then. THANK YOU, GARLANDGAB! You are keeping alive all the rare gifts from God that Judy brought to all our lives.

Totally agree! (Sarah)

I've always loved her in For Me and My Gal :)
She was so beautiful in the MGM years. Especially from 1943 onwards. Just stunning!

I agree! That's my all-time favorite movie, and she looks breathtaking in those close-ups.❤️

Your sister is so right!

I agree. In "Lily Mars", Judy is not just glamorous, gorgeous and beautiful, she's stunning, sensual and SEXY! She has ruined me! She has my heart💘💓.

Judy, singing melancholy baby, and the man that got away from the movie a star is born. She was just gorgeous.
"Minnie from Trinidad" (Ziegfeld Girl). 😍
We couldn't really use that as the tropical makeup is a bit controversial.

She had a unique look and was always as glamorous as any sex symbol
Amen!
I think Judy was pretty.
