- UK Erects Sand Silhouettes of Soldiers Ahead of D-Day Landings Anniversary | Vantage with Palki Sharma
In the United Kingdom, silhouettes of 80 soldiers were etched on sand on a beach in the town of Broadstairs in southern Britain ahead of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Britain will commemorate the historic invasion on June 6, 1944, when 150,000 Allied troops landed in France to liberate the country from Nazi control.

Nixon was not first President to visit Soviet Union. This is not true. You need to check your facts. At the Yalta conference in February, 1945. The three states were represented by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and General Secretary Joseph Stalin. The conference was held near Yalta in Crimea, Soviet Union. Last time I checked Franklin D. Roosevelt was a President of the United States.
Uk celebrates the founding anniversary of the east India company.
