Ecuador Live - You guys are funny if you think I can make it through the video without falling asleep from the relaxation! ❤️ love from usa and a wonderful video (so far!) as always
I've had my nana do this to me many times growing up, it looks aggressive but when you're getting it done you feel tingles and almost like her energy is rushing over you and it feels good.
I had this done to me once in Perú and it doesn't hurt at all, it's actually very agradable. And if you just go with the flow it really is a great experience.
@@unicantcommunicate kind of. You feel like someone did something that they very strongly believe in and you come out of it thinking "I hope I'm cleansed". It's a strange feeling but not negative in any way. You feel a little lighter.

You can tell the woman doing the cleansing is very strong. I can feel it in her chants and the way she cleansed, she’s good!! I’ve actually had a limpia once when I was younger but I wasn’t connected enough to understand. Now a days I’d probably benefit from it way more.
Here In Ecuador, once the egg it’s broken, it’s the color of the egg that’ll determine how much bad energy you had, and trust me, after this cleaning you will feel like a new person.
I think this is a fun reminder that If we're honest with ourselves , most of our rituals look strange from the outside. Whether they're familial, cultural, or national. Rituals often don't serve much more of a purpose Beyond our heritage, culture, and personal beliefs. Yet we often cling to them as they help give life meaning. Neither good nor bad, it's simply human nature perhaps.
We have this kind of things in my country too.We are especially afraid of evil eye.Every time someone gets sick we also do some rituals aside the doctor visitation and medicine. Here we belive that the evil eye can make you sick or even kill you if you don't cleanse it.
@heens x it depends.for example we have a thing called the mother of the forrest.A spirit that is a ugly evil women that makes people sick and eats human flesh(btw romania is kind of divided so some legends may sound diferent depending where you are from the things i am telling you about are from my region "moldavia")so in villages we still have cows and in the summer times we let them free in the morning in to go eat on the meadows and pastures around the village and when it gets dark they come home(they do that all alone so its kind of impresive)and when they all come back the elders say that the spirit of the mother of all forets comes with them so young children are not alowed outside at that time because if that spirit sees them it would try to kill them by makeing them sick.So my cousin who is not very spiritual had an experience like that. She had a 15 month old girl and she used to walk her in the late evenings aroud the village about the time the cows were comming home. All the women and elders warned her not to do that and she will be bewiched or cursed by the spirit. She did not listen and did that for about 2 weeks. After that the baby started being sick ,she wasnt eating or drinking, wasn't sleeping and crying non stop.So one morning when me and my grandma were having tea she comes by and started crying and asking us to help since everyone here knows we can deal with that kind of things. So me and my grandma waited until late evening and the spirit would come and started doing a certain ritual. And you have to recite a poem like spell(there are many poems like this for diferemt things and you have to know them all by heart because once its ritten they loose theyre effect and its encouraged to learn them while you are young ,teenage years).
This whole video has a very calming energy around it. I would feel so relaxed to have this done to me. I feel like it’s a universal thing, casting negative energy out of your loved ones. My mom would do something like it when I was little and scared, and it would make me feel better. It’s so nice. 💕

I deeply crave a spirituality that’s tied to something so physical. I grew up Catholic and never found a religious spirituality or a cultural spirituality either. I wish I had this.
Mrs Rose is one of the best ASMR creators. And it cleanses the soul as well. Brilliant! As someone who's lived in Bolivia and Cuba most of my life, I understand this a little more than your average American or European. ¡Mucho respeto Doña!
When I was a little girl my grandma would take me to a lady who would do similar things whenever I would have nightmares and this video is super relaxing to me
Melody Cavazos When I had nightmares, my grandmother would pat my back (kinda hard like the video) on the hand with her silver bracelets on, chanting in a similar way. This video relaxes me for the same reason!
Its comments like yours that Somehow lowkey makes me hate living in a white/European country.. What i mean is.. We have nothing like this.. In Many senses we're cultural "dead".. And its bloody sad in its own way..
this made me cry, my family is quechua and aymara from bolivia and i am very into spirituality and learning from indigenous cultures and practices, this would be such a healing experience!
I was laughing at her slapping with plants... then I remembered I’m finnish and enjoy very much going to sauna and whacking my body raw with birch tree branches. I love when my mom does it for my back. It also gets rid of bad spirits!
@@theALTF4 uh. Also a Finn so I’ll give my version of it but pretty much we dry birch sticks with the leaves still on. We then go into a sauna which you can think as a human oven but for relaxation and not cannibalizing your friends and family. We usually have it between 150+ Fahrenheit, it all depends on the individual and their family or who they are doing it with. Then we beat ourselves on the back with the sticks and it feels like the best massage and back scratch ever. I can’t explain it without sounding insane but it is so nice and relaxing and then you double over and close your eyes and enjoy the heat. It’s so nice. Then you go out of sauna and depending on the season and weather you either jump in a lake, stand outside for a little, or jump in snow. It really depends on the individual and where you are. We jump in a lake at the Mökki which is a family summer cottage on a lake, often times with some kind of wild berry, usually blueberries on the property. It’s so nice, no electricity, no heating, no running water. Just you, family, sauna, food, cottage, and the lake. My heaven. Does that help???
I would love to know for what specifically this young lady was being cleansed. Like did she have a traumatic experience, a negative feeling looming over her, did Doña Rosa feel in her professional opinion that the young lady needs it? Or was it just for the purposes of the video?
Before all the crazyness of social media came about, I might've sneered at this as crazy stuff. But with the way things are now, I think this is awesome. A wonderful thing!
I used to go to my neighbor to do this whenever I got sick. I'm brazilian and this was common in the countryside when I was a kid. Is actually relaxing. She was an old lady who took care of me when I was a kid. She had a lot of plants, herbs and we used to do this in her backyard. Apparently there was a lot of people who were jealous of me (lmao why me when there's Rihanna lol) because that was always the reason I got sick most part of the time according to her . She used plants, water and some ointments made of plants. It was so relaxing, scary but relaxing.
I would love to experience this. I often feel lingering depression, anger, sadness. Just watching the video made me feel more relaxed and positive, thank you for posting. How would a visitor to Ecuador go about experiencing this?
If you can’t travel then there may be some people that can do this sorta thing near you! Witchcraft rituals, tarot readings, energy cleansing, that sorta thing. Any sorta metaphysical or witchcraft shop near you should be able to tell you where to get it done :)
You may be right 😊The experience of a "limpia" ritual does involve receiving fragrant medicinal potions and herbal colognes, so one does leave feeling rather fragrant, but fortunately it is a pleasant smell and experience!
You know this is really interesting to me, because some of what she's doing is very similar to some practices I witnessed when living with my Navajo grandmother near the res. Not identical, but still similar. I've always found it fascinating how unique cultures are worldwide, and yet there are still commonalities.
both quechua and navajo peoples are indigenous peoples of the americas and a lot of shared cultural characteristics exist from north to south, in their own unique and special ways.
I could watch another 3 hours of her just pulling out increasingly absurd shamanic items like “Ok, you’re gonna put this dustbin on your head and hold this pickle really tight.” *chanting resumes*
In Brazil we called them "Benzedeiras". We don't have many of them nowadays, last time I did that was 20 years ago and Im 30 right now. All the Benzedeiras were already old in that time and the culture wasnt preserved unfortunatelly. Saludo desde Brasil, Doña Rosa.

It's fun that in Sicilian "mancia" it means "you eat", so for me it's like she's inviting her to eat more.
I deeply crave a spirituality that’s tied to something so physical. I grew up Catholic and never found a religious spirituality or a cultural spirituality either. I wish I had this.
You can create your own. I currently am, and I find it really enlightening and meaningful.
Brianna Campbell please share more about what you’re doing I would love to follow some example!

These healers always look like they'd be awesome people to hang out and have a few drinks with. I bet this lady could tell you some stories, man.

Mrs Rose is one of the best ASMR creators. And it cleanses the soul as well. Brilliant! As someone who's lived in Bolivia and Cuba most of my life, I understand this a little more than your average American or European. ¡Mucho respeto Doña!
me starting the video like oh this looks calming

When I was a little girl my grandma would take me to a lady who would do similar things whenever I would have nightmares and this video is super relaxing to me
Melody Cavazos When I had nightmares, my grandmother would pat my back (kinda hard like the video) on the hand with her silver bracelets on, chanting in a similar way. This video relaxes me for the same reason!
Its comments like yours that Somehow lowkey makes me hate living in a white/European country..
What i mean is..
We have nothing like this..
In Many senses we're cultural "dead"..
And its bloody sad in its own way..
That’s a nice feeling. Wish I could experience it here too but I’m glad others can.

She's my mom...
this made me cry, my family is quechua and aymara from bolivia and i am very into spirituality and learning from indigenous cultures and practices, this would be such a healing experience!
I was laughing at her slapping with plants... then I remembered I’m finnish and enjoy very much going to sauna and whacking my body raw with birch tree branches. I love when my mom does it for my back. It also gets rid of bad spirits!
Everyone always thinks the vihta is so weird when I explain it to them 😂😂 it sounds really cool though!!!
@Finnish Bookchinist siis kyllähän vihtominen karkottaa pahoja henkiä. Tai näin on uskottu ennen. Ja se ei ole vasta 😂 kele
wait...finishes do that too? why? is a cultural thing orrr... how does it works in your culture? :)
they do that at our traditional bathhouses too.

“You are full of sun” 🥺🥺💞
I used to go to my neighbor to do this whenever I got sick. I'm brazilian and this was common in the countryside when I was a kid. Is actually relaxing. She was an old lady who took care of me when I was a kid. She had a lot of plants, herbs and we used to do this in her backyard. Apparently there was a lot of people who were jealous of me (lmao why me when there's Rihanna lol) because that was always the reason I got sick most part of the time according to her . She used plants, water and some ointments made of plants. It was so relaxing, scary but relaxing.

Just so I understand it, you had a sickness that was cured by being beat with plants. And the sickness was caused by people being jealous of you?

If you can’t travel then there may be some people that can do this sorta thing near you! Witchcraft rituals, tarot readings, energy cleansing, that sorta thing. Any sorta metaphysical or witchcraft shop near you should be able to tell you where to get it done :)

Beautiful ritual! When she took that big knife out, I knew she wasn't playing
You know this is really interesting to me, because some of what she's doing is very similar to some practices I witnessed when living with my Navajo grandmother near the res. Not identical, but still similar. I've always found it fascinating how unique cultures are worldwide, and yet there are still commonalities.
I used to go sit with an elder in my tribe and he did some similar things to me as well, I miss it very much
both quechua and navajo peoples are indigenous peoples of the americas and a lot of shared cultural characteristics exist from north to south, in their own unique and special ways.
Impressionante como se pode sentir a energia que emana desse ritual, com certeza muito terapêutico! Grande curandeira Dona Rosa 🙏🏻
I could watch another 3 hours of her just pulling out increasingly absurd shamanic items like “Ok, you’re gonna put this dustbin on your head and hold this pickle really tight.” *chanting resumes*

I'm so grateful for this. Westerners like us don't get to see this lineage of healers in action everyday.
You do realize this is south América so western too
In Brazil we called them "Benzedeiras".
We don't have many of them nowadays, last time I did that was 20 years ago and Im 30 right now. All the Benzedeiras were already old in that time and the culture wasnt preserved unfortunatelly.
