My grandfather speaks fluent Italian. Unfortunately, I do not know much Italian but I do know some basic Spanish. The Spanish I do know helps me understand like 10% of what he is saying lol it is funny how similar and different they really are. i find Italian to be so much more difficult

She reminds me of a very nice doña that made us food everyday when I went with my parents to do medical service, she made me feel in contact with my origins (when I was waaay little we used to go very often to pueblos were I met friends and people that felt more like family than anything else) I almost cried while watching this, I miss that feeling of community that I had back there, people patting my head while we were collecting water and tell me “ ay mija, que fuerte eres!” And just laugh at me struggling but refusing help, the elders giving me more food and telling me all about their sons and daughters. Gosh I miss going to pueblos were everyone is a big family.

This is similar to an ancient practice in different regions/islands in the Philippines. In my village they call it tuob and use kamangyan (myrrh I think, not so sure). Love witnessing a similarity 😊

Why i found all things are in Hinduism. We called it 'Agnisnana'- fire, 'jalsnana' - water , 'vayusnana'- air, 'tatvasudhi'- earth , 'bhootshudhi' - sky . And its method is showed in temple stone statues. There are total 5 element bcuz our body make from 'panchamahabhoota' - 5 elements

This is a very traditional practice, something that has been passed down for many years, no machines or millennial products in sight, right. BUT YET many people in the Hispanic and Latin American community use the crutch of “oh it’s just my family is very traditional” or things along those lines as an excuse as to why they can’t understand that someone may need help because of depression or suicidal tendencies. This woman is WOKE. And been woke for her whole life I can imagine. The very definition of it and she’s here practicing something that has been around for ages. My point being is that if you feel a way you feel a way and don’t let anyone’s excuses tell you why they can’t understand it’s a choice not a necessity
