  • Trailer ABS light is not coming on at all? It might not be your trailer, check this BEFORE you take the trailer to a shop. It might be a $0.50 fix! We make videos for truck drivers to help them fix their problems quick and easy so you can focus on working and not worry about the everyday trucking problems. This particular video applies to the Freightliner Next Gen Cascadias. Our brand new trucks blow the trailer ABS fuse all the time, once we replace it with a new fuse it seems to fix the problem for a long time. Watch this video to see how it is done.

DOT in Indiana put me out of service for brake adjustment and ABS light. Paid $495 for roadside assistant to fix the brake adjustment then search for this video to find out the ABS issue was fuse F43. It is late to find the video but help greatly. Thank you.

Quick question so when you pressed your brakes the abs light would come on and off everytime ? And will your cruise control not work aswell and it got fixed by switching the fuse ?
      Thanks in advance

@@spacejam6460 on the trailer ABS, yes. Theres likely no connection to the cruise control though. Probably a different issue which is many times a faulty brake or clutch switch. You cruise control shuts off when you apply the brakes or use the clutch pedal. When your switch goes bad, it tells your truck’s computer that the brake or clutch pedal is applied all the time so the cruise control (and usually Jake brakes) both stop working. That’s the easy fix. Always check that first.

Thanks for posting this. I mainly just wanted to know where the fuse was because I knew it was blown and I just traded a Coronado for this Cascadia. The Coronado does the same thing but I think it uses a maxi 30 amp fuse instead of the mini.

Why would this fuse keep blowing? Bad 7 way?

shorts are often the reason for blown fuses, but our experience has been that the factory fuse blows really quickly and then once we replace it we rarely see them blow. So maybe a cheap factory fuse?
