It was not, it was totally unnecessary and a waste of their time on a job that the government is funding trough taxes of the very people that they bothered. They acted polite, which is nice but evil people can also act as good people, so dont be naive to conclude anything with their behaviour.
I personally prefer the rude people acting rude rather than acting nicely and im not saying these officers were acting, im merely using logic.

Totally! That's why they came out without the high-vis, the stab vest, the cuffs and the weapons. I do wonder how long this auditing fad will last. If it hasn't happened already, there will be a memo sent from the ACPO detailing exactly how the plod should respond to Auditors. These 2 you met today are a sign of things to come, IMO. Probably a good thing in general, but not so much for the ad revenue of the auditors.

I think the police have a right to challenge people filming their police station and they handled the situation really well. They weren't looking to abuse powers and they didn't get stuck in a loop asking questions such as what your name was and what is your purpose. Likewise AA and SA did a fair audit. The police approach of determining your characters is all they need to do - you both complied and didn't give them a reason to be "suspicious" so they were very fair.

And then he says they film outside entrances to see who coming and going. Which is totally and utterly stupid as anyone standing around for that length of time to see everyone coming and going would be pretty obvious. He's desperately trying to come up with excuses because his indoctrination just told him that police stations are attacked by criminals and terrorists and he realises that he needs to save face and not look stupid - when in fact it makes him look totally and utterly stupid.

      2) Facial recognition can be carried out, but only a government can make use of it as no one else has the database of facial images to make an ID.
      3) To get more details about a person, a name is all that's necessary. With police, get the their collar number, phone the station to get their name, go to 192.com - done. No need for number plates from which the public can only find if it's got tax and mot.
      4) Police have been killed while on duty, not disagreeing. But police stations, nope. Last one was in 1986, in NI. And the police who died happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, they weren't identified and searched out.

The garage really should have a ramp that can be raised to stop anyone ramming their way in underneath

Wow if a camera makes the police "uncomfortable" I really think they're in the wrong job.

You forgot to say to them that there are 2666 Satellites in the space that film and photograph everything for 24 hours without any kind of permission.

To be fair, both Officers were polite, courteous and non-bullshitting. When you asked about terrorist police attacks, they were very quick to say that they didn't know dates....

They were totally baffled and confused but at least they were polite and didn't overstep their authority

Bomber, they did overstep their bounds they made it seem like he was suspicious and the other guy said there's people here that aren't doing such nice things recording our entrances. Referring to him as a terrorist without using the word. So I wouldn't say they passed. I would not trust either one. She put on the nice face he was being passive aggressive.
