@@amichiganboiwhosereallazy1544 yes but at the time of testing it didn't this comment is completely out dated. The lifted suspension got in the way most of the time since it couldn't do well off-road anyway without 4wd and it just made it top heavy from there. Diff lock is a necessity in this game, i used to work for international/navistar and when winter came, 1 or 2 inch of snow could totally get the truck stuck, so engage diff lock and put it in 3 gear and hope the tires dont slip
I won’t sell it because there is a trophy for getting all trucks but I just won’t use the 3194. The 4520 with the 4 wheel steering is amazing and is my go to hauler.
The fact that they gave the 4520 the same engines as the 6x6 Royal and expected it to not be underpowered as hell is mind blowing. 'Heavy hauler' my ass, it can barely pull itself.
I don't understand this decision...I mean it's a tractor, It can only have sadle and log cart and can't even have crane...so it already has pretty limited use..So the best thing to do here was to give it a good engine so that it does the things that it can do the best.
I use the 3194 because I dont have the larger one. I tend to get high centered constantly, and it's great for being able to get an offroad truck back on its wheels that has flipped
Finally made it to level 8 or so, got upgrades for Royal BM17 even though it has no diff lock, it's lifted with the biggest diameter mud tires and offroad gearbox, just WOW. The game's so much easier now lol... Did the same for the Fleetstar F2070A but with diff lock, I've got two of those, with those 3 vehicles it's really no problem to get most anywhere now.
Also, there is some strange issue in this game - if your truck has no diff option, you can enable diff by switching from LOW to AUTO. Its work for all trucks.
I managed to salvage the 3194 yesterday and decided to do a shakedown run in the Trucks and Investigations task in White Valley. I wasn't thoroughly impressed despite having always on diff lock and now a liftable dead axle. Problem is, even with the lifted axle not being used to lift the truck, it gets caught. And since the tires on that axle stays as a highway single and CAN'T STEER, makes the truck not worth having. After that mission I sold it immediately and got a modded 4520 instead. Modded, because the issue with the other Derry, is an abysmal power-to-weight ratio of B. And when it comes to heavy trucks, B is not enough.
4520, it's a cleaner, a superb long trailer king, after all operations are done in the region, it's time for cleaners, to collect and sell all the trailers left, and this truck can handle this job very efficiency, or when you need it's precise turn radius on curvy mountain roads.
They use the same gearbox (file) ratios, 3194 has a more powerful engine with more torque, other difference is less driven wheels and no difflock, not sure how different they are in terms of weight.
The 3194 may suck, but I love this truck! IRL, these things get used for logging and heavyweight off-road hauls. Also did quite well for the military, pulling 50 ton Patton tanks through fairly nasty conditions....It’s got a V12 engine upgrade so I think I will use it for the special trailers, most likely with assistance lol
The only time this truck has come in handy is when I made the mistake of trying to haul the big trailer in white valley up the long hill with the p16. With chains and power it was able to pull them the rest of the way
I got the Derry Longhorn 3194 yesterday and was really disappointed by it. I would accept the giant turning radius if the performance in mud and snow would be better, but it just fails in those environments as well.
The 3194 is "okay" for alaska only by fact that you can get just about anywhere in the region with a paved road. Other than that, yeah its very lackluster.
I used the 3194 in Alaska to haul semi trailers around and even some of the rigs that could stick to highway. It was rough off-road but found it very nice to drive on paved roads with chains in Alaska. Otherwise yeah, it's garbage.
The biggest problem with the 3194 AKA the M911 is the inability to raise and stow the tag axle. If you could do this the truck would perform significantly better unladen. On the other hand, when fully loaded, the M911 does pretty well in almost any condition. The more weight you can get on its rear axles the better. Also for reference, the real M911 was an air activated AWD system that also engaged locking differentials at the same time, so the real life truck is more capable than what they have done in game. For me it's a little sad since I love this truck a lot.
Derry Longhorn 3194 got buffed with permanent diff lock. Would be interesting to see this comparison again.

The thing is that the blue one is good offroad in mud and such the older one is good on flat surfaces like roads and ice
Turn radius is the most underrated aspect
3194 is my favorite truck it is a bit non capable but ive been using it and its pretty good
Fun fact: The 4520 was in a episode in Gold Rush actually the channel is Discovery channel
I would chose Derry longhorn 4520 over Derry longhorn 3194 any time
Do some gameplay videos as well, more content is always welcome. 😊
4520, it's a cleaner, a superb long trailer king, after all operations are done in the region, it's time for cleaners, to collect and sell all the trailers left, and this truck can handle this job very efficiency, or when you need it's precise turn radius on curvy mountain roads.
The 4520 struggled in the mud because those trees weren't breaking right away
7:50 Not really the Winner. The 3194 just had more "luck" with auto transmission.
Thats not "luck" the 3194 is a glorified highway truck so the transmission is faster in auto for it but less torque. So yes it was the 'Winner'
They use the same gearbox (file) ratios, 3194 has a more powerful engine with more torque, other difference is less driven wheels and no difflock, not sure how different they are in terms of weight.
3194 dery long horn is utter trash, turning radius so huge cant even turn a normal corner without backing up.

The 3194 may suck, but I love this truck! IRL, these things get used for logging and heavyweight off-road hauls. Also did quite well for the military, pulling 50 ton Patton tanks through fairly nasty conditions....It’s got a V12 engine upgrade so I think I will use it for the special trailers, most likely with assistance lol
the 3194 is cool
The only time this truck has come in handy is when I made the mistake of trying to haul the big trailer in white valley up the long hill with the p16. With chains and power it was able to pull them the rest of the way
Loving the engine sound of the 3194
3194 was nice to use in Alaska with the chain tires tho! Just got to lvl 24 and using the new one in Michigan.
Chain tires dont do good in mud, u need offroad tires if there is no mud tire option
Pls do Royalbm17 vs International Paystar
Hello! Do the test Kolob 74760 vs 74941.
I remmenber one of these from a mod vehicle on the farming simulator 17!
I got the Derry Longhorn 3194 yesterday and was really disappointed by it. I would accept the giant turning radius if the performance in mud and snow would be better, but it just fails in those environments as well.
Thank the heavens the devs added always on diffs for the 3194
Needs an update. Saber fixed part of the 3194. It now has always on diff lock and retractable dead axle.
The 3194 is "okay" for alaska only by fact that you can get just about anywhere in the region with a paved road. Other than that, yeah its very lackluster.
for me using all-terrain tiers with the Derry Longhorn 3194 seams to have gotten through a lot of muddy terrain but for me right now i like the 3194
You'd think the truck with army camo would do pretty alright in offroad conditions, but no.
3194 have block diffs mate.
The 3194 Derry has been updated. It now has all- wheel drive and diff lock always on
How does it feel now?
