I know what I must do, a compilation of all the time people say slag in transformers animated, what comes to mind is that one scene were Sari said "Oh Slag"
And a Transformers Prime compilation of every time someone says “scrap”.
From what I can tell,Animated needs to Return.

From what I can tell, lightpiping abandonment is sadly quite common. It usually happens because they decide to engineer some in, but then discover that they have a limited number of plastic colors to work with and only one is translucent. In this guy's case, he has translucent orange parts, so the lightpiping ends up orange, which would be inaccurate. And adding a whole extra sprue for a single translucent blue part would be wasteful, so they just painted the orange eyes over in blue.
This also happens a lot with carformers, who have transparent windows so their lightpiping would give them pure white eyes. It's also probably why so many Movie Bumblebee toys have blue windows.
#MinimumSwivels As for the lack of swivels, that's mostly because the Animated Snarl mold is nine years old. It came from an era when they hadn't really standardized a minimum amount of articulation for a figure to have, partly because the Unicron Trilogy had been full of goofy gimmicks that limited poseability, and partly because the budget wasn't as high back then. So they generally designed the swivels around what was necessary for transformation, and consequently, they were all over the place from figure to figure. Check out Classics Mirage for a perfect example; he has double knees and elbows, but no thigh swivel.
It was around Animated that the engineering, lack of gimmickry, better budget, and communication with the fanbase got to the point that Hasbro could set a lower bound of articulation at around "head rotation, universal shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow, universal hips, thigh swivel, and knees", and frequently going above and beyond that (usually, adding on head balljoint, waist swivel, wrist swivel, double elbows or knees, or ankle tilts). Unfortunately, Snarl's kind of a transitional figure from that period, so he's a lot more limited.

i think tf animated was one of the transformers tv series that really "NAILED IT" the G1 feel to it in my opinion

In my opinion, the minimum swivels should be all the swivel a mega construx/bloks figure has, head, shoulder, elbow, wrist, waist, swivel in the *hoo ah* and a knee, and finally, something mega bloks, construx figures don't have an ankle swivel, fingers don't matter, and neither do toes, but all the swivels i mentioned should be required

but #minimumswivels are gonna come when hasbro prioritizes maintaining the Animated look rather than the functionality of the toy. im sure if that design were made today it would be way better executed

These Transformers "Adventure" repaints are based of the tf4 movie/toys , Slug is purple like the 4th movie toy and lockdown too
I had this Slug when I was a kid and I love the bonking club, makes sense considering the dinobots are the equivalent of a caveman

I grew up with this show and I had the the original of this mold
This figure had no character (according to Jobby) and less then minimum swivel and still this figure gets a kiss instead of just a hug.

transformers animated figures are acctually pretty affordable on the after market. It's only a few figures, samurai prowl, that cost significantly more.
I honestly think that Transformers Animated should be part of the Masterpiece series, for a list of reasons:
1.) it's a loved series with multiple fans, much like Beast Wars, which is also part of the Masterpiece series
2.) the Masterpiece series focuses on screen accurate figures for both modes, for the most part (looking at you, MP-45)
3.) it'll allow certain characters that could've gotten toys (Dirt Boss, Mixmaster, Scrapper, Wasp) and will also allow updated engineering to certain figures (Megatron, Blitzwing, Blackarachnia, Lugnut, Wreck-Gar, Snarl, Swindle, Longarm, Sentinel Prime, etc.)

HobbytheJong. I have the first make of this figure and like the tail split referencing Snarl from G1 transformation. For any owners of the fig, I recommend painting his cheetos club black in parts. Makes the character more authentic.

The minimum amount of pose ability (in my opinion) is head swivel and up and down. 360 in the arms as well 90 degree bend in the arm forward and back in hips with decent spread thigh swivel 90 degree bend in the knee and maybe a pivot but I'm fine with simulated pivot.
