The atmosphere in these movies is phenomenal. I dislike jump scares. I feel that they are cheap and tacked on. What I do like is that feeling of something is off.

Not as scary as the first two. The mystery surrounding Russel and the priest is kinda meh... The ending is good tho. Carmichael Manor was decent. How they tied both movies was okay. Waiting for the next installment of the series.@@finalgirl640

I am Hindu and I had a dream related to this scene but I wasn’t scared of her aka the dead Melissa, and instead of Mitchell, it was me who was exploring the Abaddon Hotel but I roared back at her like a lion as I am a devotee of Lord Narasimha(the fourth incarnation of Hindu God, Lord Vishnu who has face of a lion and body of a human) I still remember her dialogue normal voice: “yeah I know once we get through opening night it’ll all be down here from there no mom I already told you” then demonic voice: I’m dead already they took us to hell and Kartik’s coming with us.”
I love how when the 💩 hit the fan....jessica gets mad at mitchell " you knew something was wrong with the hotel!"......yeah, and he warned you like legit a dozen times, genuine warnings and SHE was the one who forced it
I felt as if each successive movie was better than the last, but this one sticks out as my favorite. I loved the haunting imagery of a desolate, dilapidated hotel room. The winds echo as if it has no walls and spans forever, like the Lake of Fire. The muffled screams of the damned are such a terrifying finishing touch.
Kinda predictable if you have seen the first one. This is a great franchise tho. Hell house raised the bar so high that I haven't found a movie as good as this trilogy. I have seen 100+ found footage films, this trilogy I enjoy the most.@@Leoprincess3038

The cast in the first one were more believable. Hell,one of them vomited in terror for real and it looked good so they kept it in. I love the franchise but the first one was undeniably the best. (I haven't seen the new "origins" movie yet so I can't comment on that one).

I dont understand people who dont like the climax with tully... without it the entire movie is just bunch of people walking in an abandoned house with shaky camera recording ... tully's monologue establishes the entire lore of the franchise. I cant take anyone seriously who thinks otherwise.

The trilogy is awesome I enjoyed all 3 movies. And I did watch the director's cut of HH-1. I liked the characters in HH-1 and wish they didn't die. The characters in HH-3 were good too.

Plausibility always gets me on movies & the how precise in accuracy to reality & real ppl. Some are better at projecting & capturing that & then there’s just lackadaisical. E for effort.
one thing that has always urked me about this movie is that at the end the television host says who the hell is that we were just talking to then and then nothing like not mentioned in the 3rd just a random guy on the panel pertending to be the rockland supervisor or whatever his title was

The two storylines are not running at the same time. The clips within the hotel are cut into the interview scenes for your viewing, not theirs.... The MM interviews are flashbacks prior to their journey through the Abaddon.

There's a subtle jab at mediums & psychics: Brock Davies goes into the Abbadon & doesn't seem to know what's going to happen to him, even though he's a medium & psychic 😅

Does anyone notice that on more than one occasion that Mitchell said before hand that there is no way he’s going back to the Abbaddon? He also told Brock that at the end of the TV segment. It gives the impression that he was there previously whereas the storyline shows that he only put together a documentary from the footage that Sara provided. When was he ever at the Abbaddon prior to the Morning Mysteries show??
To get Diana n the camera man's footage maybe after they entered 2C in the first movie? The thing is its not clear who has access to the videos shot at abbadon hotel... in the 3rd movie its shown that Russell the millionaire dude is editing the footage from the 2nd movie on his laptop... but not sure if diana's footage has ever been seen by anyone in the movies universe... only movie viewers n perhaps tully n his ghosts have seen it... so its unclear if mitchell along with cops might have retrieved that footage.
Usually in films theres an ending, this was how they decided to end it. If you ever see another film you'll spot the same.thing. itd be pretty expensive for tape if films didnt have endings.

I really enjoy the Hell House movies, but some of the actors give major "porn with a plot" level acting. Vasile Flutur (Mitchell) definitely stands out.

Anyone know the following movie, I totally forgot the name. If involves a group of people who get together on webcam. The main couple is a black lady and an older white guy. If you answer the “knock”, it lets in a ghost that eventually drives them crazy and they die. The black lady thinks the ghost is her ex boyfriend, but it’s actually a ghost she let in after she answered the door.

Hi Jeph. No it wasn't Sarah, she died on Opening Night. The "girl" who attacked Paul was one of the mannequins possessed by a spirit haunting the Abbadon.
Jackson was not alone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 and he was not supposed to be inside exploring the haunted hotel cause he didn’t realize there was someone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 but they’re still in the area and he almost got caught in the dining room
I’ve watched the first three movies several times now (haven’t felt like getting Shudder to watch the new one yet) and this one has to be my personal favorite. I love how it expands and increases the scope
Jackson is trying give them a message if someone could send help come over for him to rescue him so he won’t be trapped in the abandoned hotel and he tells everyone that someone is still in the haunted hotel cause he’s tough there’s someone else could help him but there after him
It has its moments but inferior to the first movie. Unfortunately the trend will continue, with the third movie being quite inferior. The journalist is enfuriating. Tries to gaslight her expert at all times. "If I say a word we will go". Proceeds to not follow the rules that she agree with. Imagine that kind of person in a mountain or fire.
3rd is pretty bad, 4th is very good, 2nd is good as an extension of the 1st, you have to watch 3rd at least once but it's a chore with a goofy ending in actually fell.asleep on and didnt know about until.going back
44:00 why does Molly say she is upstairs? She wouldn’t know they were in the basement and she doesn’t mean the 2nd story when she says it. I would expect for cohesive story writing for a 3rd rate horror movie… although this one had a bigger budget to spend on contact lenses and makeup. This is a one time watch movie because it’s really bad this time around.

Plausibility always gets me on movies & the how precise in accuracy to reality & real ppl. Some are better at projecting & capturing that & then there’s just lackadaisical. E for effort.

The Second Grave Encounters was a major letdown (kind of like REC and Quarantine series).
one thing that has always urked me about this movie is that at the end the television host says who the hell is that we were just talking to then and then nothing like not mentioned in the 3rd just a random guy on the panel pertending to be the rockland supervisor or whatever his title was
The acting of jackson is some of the funniest shit ove ever seen, and the fact hes supposed to be a kid but looks the same age as his mom
I am confused please help.... Mitchell and Brock (the psychic guy) are on Morning Mystery show watching video of themselves being killed? How is this possible? Maybe I am missing something?🤔
The two storylines are not running at the same time. The clips within the hotel are cut into the interview scenes for your viewing, not theirs.... The MM interviews are flashbacks prior to their journey through the Abaddon.

To be fair, there is at least one part of the film where after a cutaway from a hotel scene and a return to the studio interview, she does ask Brock (paraphrasing!) "What do you think about what you've just seen," which can give the idea that she's asking him about the hotel scene... 🙂

A cool and spooky series of movies. Just now finished this one and getting ready to check out the 3rd one. A ton of ads in this one so couldn't concentrate long enough to get the full spookiness lol. But other than that very cool 💪💀🤘

Does anyone notice that on more than one occasion that Mitchell said before hand that there is no way he’s going back to the Abbaddon? He also told Brock that at the end of the TV segment. It gives the impression that he was there previously whereas the storyline shows that he only put together a documentary from the footage that Sara provided. When was he ever at the Abbaddon prior to the Morning Mysteries show??

To get Diana n the camera man's footage maybe after they entered 2C in the first movie? The thing is its not clear who has access to the videos shot at abbadon hotel... in the 3rd movie its shown that Russell the millionaire dude is editing the footage from the 2nd movie on his laptop... but not sure if diana's footage has ever been seen by anyone in the movies universe... only movie viewers n perhaps tully n his ghosts have seen it... so its unclear if mitchell along with cops might have retrieved that footage.
According to 10:00 ... yeah Dian's footage was in the documentary mitchell produced ... so its possible he went to retrieve it.

Usually in films theres an ending, this was how they decided to end it. If you ever see another film you'll spot the same.thing. itd be pretty expensive for tape if films didnt have endings.

@@ericak4867 When Russell Wynn 'died' in the car crash, he didn't entirely come back; he was an angel sent to draw out and deal with the evil of Andrew Tully. He did so, and in doing so, he saved the souls of those who Tully had previously taken. However. because the HH crew are still dead, they are bound to the hotel. Hope that might help, Erica :)

I really enjoy the Hell House movies, but some of the actors give major "porn with a plot" level acting. Vasile Flutur (Mitchell) definitely stands out.

Anyone know the following movie, I totally forgot the name. If involves a group of people who get together on webcam. The main couple is a black lady and an older white guy. If you answer the “knock”, it lets in a ghost that eventually drives them crazy and they die. The black lady thinks the ghost is her ex boyfriend, but it’s actually a ghost she let in after she answered the door.

The "girl" who attacked Paul was one of the mannequins possessed by a spirit haunting the Abbadon.

Jackson was not alone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 and he was not supposed to be inside exploring the haunted hotel cause he didn’t realize there was someone in the abandoned hotel 🏨 but they’re still in the area and he almost got caught in the dining room
So we can deduce Mitchell is still alive--he got to walk out and leave-but no trace of him in movie 3 or 4. Will he make a return I wonder

I’ve watched the first three movies several times now (haven’t felt like getting Shudder to watch the new one yet) and this one has to be my personal favorite. I love how it expands and increases the scope

It has its moments but inferior to the first movie. Unfortunately the trend will continue, with the third movie being quite inferior.

3rd is pretty bad, 4th is very good, 2nd is good as an extension of the 1st, you have to watch 3rd at least once but it's a chore with a goofy ending in actually fell.asleep on and didnt know about until.going back

She wouldn’t know they were in the basement and she doesn’t mean the 2nd story when she says it.
I would expect for cohesive story writing for a 3rd rate horror movie… although this one had a bigger budget to spend on contact lenses and makeup.
This is a one time watch movie because it’s really bad this time around.
