I stumbled across your music by chance tonight. This song was the first one I heard and wow does it hit home. In 2018 I almost lost my life to my depression..they had to revive me 3 times and put me in a medically induced coma for 14 days but I'm still here and fighting. Thank you for this song and being the beautiful soul you are.

The only two things in this world that meant everything to me were gone in an instant. I battle depression for really long time I’m 25 single father of 3 I haven’t felt like this since 16 year old that feeling sadly has come back to hunt me again hear this song I couldn’t help break down have to grab phone call the only person that know who will be there to lister that my mom lest then 10 minutes she was at my door 😔😩 what crazy he wrote a letter I wrote my letter back when I was 16 year old I still have lock in my safe. What holding me together is my son without him I wouldn’t be here
This really hits home for me. Throughout the years of battling depression and suicidal thoughts, music is always one thing I turn to to escape it. It helps calm me down and drive the thoughts away. This definitely hits home and puts into perspective how much it not only affects me but those around me. Everyday I get through is another battle won

i've been stuck in the limbo between sadness and happiness and determination and self-deprecation for as long as i can remember now. for a long time i've been looking for a way to leave, an out, an exit, a way for me to break out of the stalemate and find a reprieve from my own headspace. this song reminded me that ending it all isn't the answer for me. if someone sees it as their way, i won't shame them, but the chorus reminded me of something a dear friend once told me. they said "i'd rather write stories with you than tell stories about you."

I lost my oldest brother, my best friend to a sudden heart attack on April 30th and this song reminds me of him and the battles he fought with diabetes and from suffering a stroke.

@atlus This one got me. I had a battle with suicidal ideation and mental health last year and one day I didn't know my ass from a hole in the wall, and I ended up blowing my face off. Thank God I survived, but damnit man. Since then, my depression has gotten worse, but I'm not suicidal. Didn't think I ever was and not sure why it happened to this day. However, listening to this song, and seeing the video fucked me up, and I broke down. Good tune man, you gained a new fan
As I sit here and drown myself as I listen to this song all I can think of is my wife and I wonder if she suffers because of my inability to heal from all things I've been through I know that I'm headed for a wall but somehow the crash doesn't scare me it's her being alone crazy how one person's thought turned into music can describe a entire life

Only artists who have made me cry since I came home from recovery have been Dax, Jelly Roll, Teddy Swims, and Atlus. These artists have touched my heart while going through some tough times since Thanksgiving, wife asked for a seperation, been eight months now, and asked to be ONLY co-parents before memorial day weekend. I had every intention to end my life memorial Monday and had a plan and wrote out some letters. Desperately searched for a support group and found one, if I didn't feel any different afterward then I would have followed through. I am still here thanks to that group and my son, it is still very difficult and those thoughts fly through my head daily. Listening to these guys though brings me down for a minute and then right back up knowing I can do something more. Atlus, love all your music and you and Dax are probably my most played on Spotify right now. Thank you.
