Am a little confused... at 6:00, why didn't you use the intution die to add +1 to the 1L result showing, to give you 2L. And since that die isn't exhausted, you still have all three dice to roll to get the remianing 2L without having to spend the Reflex Powder. Am asking incase I'm missing a rule. Thx!
You only get to roll the dice once against each lock attempt, so my reflex powder was the way I got to re-roll things. I could have taken a gamble, as this was my 'first fail', and re-rolled ALL the dice for a second attempt, but again, but my re-roll might have been worse. There's nothing in the rules that lets you re-roll the other dice and keep an 'un-exhausted' one; the keeping of the used die is a rule that lets you carry a used die through to the next lock pick attempt. So, I tried to make the best of my roll by using the powder to let me re-roll things. Does this help??
I was wondering about your second lock pick attempt. You converted the 3L to a 3F, then picked up a 2L to try to roll a 2L. Didn't you have both locks picked with one roll? I don't have my rules with me.
Question. I have the pre order version coming without the adventure map :( what substitutes for that? It looks great and it seems to be a core component. Great video as usual by the way :)
Lee, there's a card that the Day Counter chip sits on to track your days, and you can simply keep your stack of successful Encounter cards underneath the Tyrant card to track your progress. It's not as attractive as the Adventure Mat, but is completely functional and works great. Adventure Mats will be available via our website shortly after TMB preorders are fulfilled, so you can snap one up then if you feel like you need it :-)
Love the videos Ricky! Thank you for your hard work. Question for you: when you escaped, you lost all of your loot. Would that not include your Trove Loot card? I think that (thematically speaking) when you pick your lock, you grab what is near you and run indicating that your Trove Loot Chest would be left behind. Does it say otherwise somewhere or should you have lost that as well?
We make a clear distinction between Loot and Trove Loot. If a card references just Loot, than it does not include Trove Loot. In this case, Nugget knows not to keep her most valuable possessions in the open when going down for the night. That trove chest is likely stashed somewhere back at her camp where she was nabbed from.
Since you mentioned later in the video that you get one free fail each day when attempting to pick the lock on a trove loot I'm sure you realize you used your reflex powder too early!
That lock picking mechanic really got my brain scrambled...
Great report. Can't wait to get this in the UK.
Keep them coming as they are a joy to watch
Always better to increase the atk/def die first since a failure lets you use the other training point to try again.
Absolutely loving these vids - keep em coming - good job. Looking forward to my KS arriving :)
Where is part 7? Ricky, why are you holding out on us?! 😀
all yours Brian...!

ChipTheoryGames Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. That does make sense thematically too (very Hobbit-esque).
Will you do more mage knight? I know you've done a lot of that, but I like the videos ;-;
I hope to, yes/
At 12:46. What are you doing? Jajaja
haha... I'm sitting cross-legged on the floor. Cosy toes in cosy socks!
Ricky Royal I thought it was a cat or a dog. 😂 Thanks
Not my dog. Not enough bones.....
