I had a few classes with CeeCee WInans and one of my childhood friends.. Lisa Williams introduce me to CeeCee at Mumford high.. I knew her as Pacilla WInans And we were both Walking the halls between classes and she wanted to introduce me to her brothers... They always were I. The halls between classes standing by their lockers and in each of their lockers taped inside was an album.. CeeCee told me one day her brothers were gonna be a very popular gospel group.. Back then we could take a lot of classes in the summer to graduate early.. Thats what CeeCee did... She graduated early.. She suppose to graduated in 1982 but she came out in 1979 or 80...

I knew ceecee winans as Percellia Winans ...I went to school the same high school ...Mumford....yeeeees go Mumford mustangs ...but She was very smart She had graduated earlier than she suppose to had..back then everyone could take cat least 3 classes in summer school t o get ahead and graduate early ...I guess that's what Percellia Winans aka ceecee did...when I was in the 9th or 10th grade her famois brothers were already making records back in 1977..I was hanging out with her and a few of her brothers were in the hallway by their lockers and she said her brothers were singers and She had to prove t o me just how famous they were so they opened up their lockers on the first floor a t mumford and I saw alot of their album covers taped inside their locker...but she probably dint even remember me or that day she introduced me to her brothers...they live on woodingham and 7mile...

I an so glad you did this story. I had loved this woman since I saw her and BeBe open for someone at the Hollywood Bowl more than 30 yrs ago. (It may have been Whitney Houston) I went straight into a record store in Westwood Village and asked for their CD, and the girl who work there tried to tell me they weren't gospel just their brothers were, but I had just come from the concert and knew exactly Who they were singing about, so arguing the little white ditz who had no idea what I just heard in that concert was of no interest to me.
