I was waiting for this. I was playing my Howard Low D last night. I’m starting to get better with the piper’s grip but this looks so good.

Thanks. Yes, I'm excited. It plays just like a Howard but with no stretch. All special whistles have a higher price tag. An instrument with a key takes a little more care, but the key is professionally added and should last well

It is fantastic. It is the key (pin intended) to my happiness on a Low D.

Susato also has a keyed Low D. Plays quite nicely. Not like this, though.

Good pun, and well said. I’m loving it

I was first acquainted with Susato when I bought a tenor recorded from them. Their whistles are OK, but not like the Howard.

Sounds and looks lovely! I love my carbony but it’s great to see competition. Thanks for the detailed review

I am glad you have the Carbony and love it. I should have one in a few weeks and will provide a side-by-side. I’m sure they are each amazing!

Honestly, I find my Howard one of the easiest whistles to play with the hole spacing that they have already .

I agree. I feel like some of it is the weight, the finish, as well as the hole spacing.
