Seeing the old Generations Drift next to this guy just makes me realize how much we really need a new Generations Drift figure.
They could use the Pointblank mold as a starting point.

The Alt mode is the Asurada GSX from Future GPX Cyber Formula, its a pretty good 90s anime from Sunrise. Love to see it lol

The car mode suspiciously look very identical to a repainted Asurada GSX from Future GPX Cyber Formula.
The entire upper half of him being connected to the waist by a tiny bit of clear plastic makes me incredibly nervous. He looks amazing though, love me some IDW designs.
There's something very disconcerting about how the entire top half and the entire bottom half on this fairly complicated and I assume decently weighty figure are only attached by a thin joint on a transparent windshield piece
He's extremely heavy, he definitely has internal diecast everywhere. He's as heavy OR slightly heavier than big Flame Toys Drift (I own both). That said, he's VERy solid feeling, so stuff connects well to hold him sturdy.
I definitely don't recommend transforming him anyway, lol

this looks like an awesome figure. the one thing that has me a little worried is that sliding joint for the roof. I feel like I would end up breaking the roof trying to get it to slide. The alt mode is defintiely my favorite part of this figure.
I like the car mode honestly cool. (If painted black could look like a Batmobile)
Perhaps a retool (new head, chest and maybe different accessories?)
If it was deadlock then he would probably have that paint job
thats the Asurada GSX from Future GPX Cyber formula. its a racing Anime. if you watched it the rival car could be made into Rodimus, the Aoi Superion. it has a Gaudy boost mode that is in Rodimus' haughty tastes.

A very cool figure based on a character I honestly wish had never been created.
Thanks to the transformation I can't unsee a giant robot diaper that he pulls on as he transforms. Kinda spoils it, to be honest. He's a bada$$ figure, but that image...

This is a GORGEOUS toy. It is basically a budget Flame Toys Kura Kara Kuri but with an improved look (much better proportions imo) and just a fraction of the pricetag. Sadly, mine came with a lack of paint in one shoulder in one spot, so I'm waiting for a possible replacement shoulder, but God if he isn't just gorgeous.
Its hard to see in videos and pics, but even his white paint is very slightly "sparkly"... he looks gorgeous

Yo emgo one quick thing im gonna point out for u ik that u know the old cartoon back in the day called speed racers that car mode put your mind of speed racer just the car mode n the robot mode put u in the mind of a gundam
People say this was a nightmare? Fiddly yes, but devil savior split it is not.
I did get a little frustrated with the transformation but I feel like your instructions will help a lot. What do you think of the plastic quality cause I'm ify about the material?

Been waiting for this review from you. Got this guy just over a month ago and I love the robot mode! The alt mode is really cool too but transforming it isn’t the most fun thing.

In Car mode his real only enemy are speedbumps, driveay ramps that are at slightly steep incline and DIPs lol
If I had this figure, I'd have to put some black panel lining paint on it. It would look much better
I don't mind the lack of weapon storage in Alt mode that Alt mode is beautiful
The figure doesn't look bad. I can see someone making new swords for him that fight his hands better. Paint the vehicle mode black and he could pass for a version of the batmobile.
the question is, could they have made it transform to a more simpler way or smarter way that wont hurt both modes and make all our lives much better? :D

Yeah I'm sorry to the people who complains about this being a "nightmare" or hard to transform, they just don't seem to have the necessary IQ. I learned it once and I memorized how to do it easily. It's just that some parts are very tight and hard to plug in so it takes time to put it all together.
The engineering isn't hard at all to understand, and the process is very intuitive, but the tolerances, tightness, and connections make it more of a "nightmare" to actually pull off. It's fair to say the strength and quality of materials do not inspire confidence in longevity, and will likely make many owners extremely hesitant to do exactly as the instructions intend them to do.

Good question. I know it was years ago, but I am wondering about BadCube's version of Warpath. I can remember Emgo saying something like, "I'm sweating, and I'm tired. It's a lot of work. Fiddly and a lot of work. But if I have to suffer, you'll be suffering with me." It was one of few times that I could feel Emgo getting a little frustrated. This was before he used some jump cuts at times with "second verse, same as the first" when the leg or arm transformation was really involved.
Maybe there were others, and I can't speak directly for him. However, I do remember that one giving him some trouble.

Split was an absolute nightmare as I recall. He smashed his first copy
@braumkimball9548 Oh man. I forgot the Devil Savior version of Movie Devastator. So sorry. And yeah, Split/Mixmaster was God awful bad.
I watched Emgo's review again, and yes, he spoke of his tweet of smashing to bits his first copy of Split. On his second copy, he had to superglue one door panel in as well as one of the front tire axels. In both cases, the screws to each were stripped and kept coming undone. Emgo also had to glue the hood ornament in place due to transformation. His take on Split was, "It's frustrating, and nothing wants to stay to stay together."
Oh, and I forgot which company made it, but one of the third party Studio series Prime also fell apart/smashed to pieces, too.
So yes, back to the original question, there have been a few over the years that Emgo respectfully did not like or had real trouble through the transformation.
@@kventintarantaiko I watched Devil Savior Split, the Bad Cube Warpath and the Ultra Maxmas and they all are NIGHTMARE....But I get why Split made Emgo lose his cool (He's way more patient than me, that's saying much).
Also knight Orion was a disasterpiece
