this is just in hindsight. We don't know who applied to hololive en gen3 so we will never know if there's someone that applied that could've been better than her or any of the en gen3 girls. She was one of the og en vtubers, but its not like she was very well known. This is just another case like with the twins where everyone is suddenly talking about them like they knew them before they got accepted to hololive. You never know. Maybe in the future when en gen4 gets announced there will be a very popular member that says she tried to apply for gen3, but got rejected/ignored

But I feel like the likeliest reaction I'd have would be something like my favorite agency VTuber audition success reaction: Gamma Hizaki's, which basically involved him anxiously waiting for the results, only for him to get the notification email about his success while he was doing a Number Two on the toilet. It's something he talked about in a Short of his. Also, what a coincidence that fresh in my memory is a clip of Flayon talking about how he reacted to his audition success.

@end3790 Its also from my limited understanding still a much more financially stable way to do the Vtuber thing on top of that then a lot of indie Vtubers have, even at the lower levels of superchatted members. More restrictions, but also more opportunities/advertising/etc. that a lot of great talents can't easily get on their own, especially if they've already been burned by a smaller "Vtuber" company just trying to cash in on the fad before folding at the first sign of things not actually working out. Mad props to the ones who make it work as indies anyways, but being part of the biggest Industry Vtuber Company has its appeal to people for a lot of reasons beyond just "My oshi is in that one".
