After spending 59 minutes in a graduate level hyperlipidemia class that completely confused me... I go to my favorite Nerd for yet again, an AMAZING lecture!!! Thank you so much❤
Alhamdulilah, I wasn't born earlier and went to med school before the establishment of your channel 😂. You neutralize the stress intentionally induced by my professors . Thank you always.
I tested positive for the inherited type. I had to go on a strict regime. I gave up all animal products, added oils, added sugars, went Whole Foods plant based and I got my numbers normal. It is like diabetes or something. I need to take supplements. My protein is mostly legumes. My HDL is OK. I was given a statin initially. I had horrible side effects.
Thanks to your video. I am diagnosed myself with a type two inherited hyper lipidemia. I accidentally discover hyper lipidemia with a slight increase in LDL and slight decrease of HDL slight increase in triglycerides. After I quit smoking in 2015, my total cholesterol skyrockets from 242 to 310 and since then I am average between 295 and 310 total cholesterol. my triglycerides level is either normal or slightly above normal. my LDL high my HDL is either at the normal mark or slightly elevated. I decide not to proceed with drugs would be great to have your advice. I am 45 Male , formal smoker quit since 2015 casual drinker. My blood sugar is constantly at 110 mark which is considered barely normal. I have those sugar values since I am 10. My body weight is normal. Body fat is normal. My mother also have hyper lipidemia. She’s total cholesterol is 410 but she has a high value of HDL 85. She is 72 now doing fine.
The healthcase advise given in medical institutions is nonsense. You should not be lowering LDL or cholestrol. The only natural way to lower tryglicerides is but eating a high fat low carbohydrate diet consisting mainly of fatty red meat, butter , eggs and fermented dairy aka Keto/carnivore diet. If you start taking these medications you will have a lifetime of misery.
They are both bad. Cholestrol is vital for the body and should not be reduced by medications, these drug dealers spout nonsense for the benefit of big pharma. Eating a primarily carnivore diet with no processed carbs, no seed oils, and no sugars is the swolution for all these health ailments.
Please don't get discouraged. Some of us depend on this channel for our academics.

❤❤❤❤
i thought lower dose 5mg of statin gives most benefit ; higher doses show only moderate gains; in other words the biggest bang for the buck is at 5
Ldl>70? I thought

High LDL is not a risk factor unless your blood sugar is always high. I don't know what's worse, a vaccine salesman or a statin salesman.
