i was at beatrice during the eclipse. The whole day everyone was worried the clouds would cover it but they cleared up just in time for totality. It was an AMAZING day :)

I've been looking for a video that could convey anywhere close to what it's like to see it in person, and this is the best one yet! You can see the strange way that the light moves when seeing the corona. Fantastic! The lovely female reporter helps convey the emotion I felt when witnessing the totality here today, in Georgia. I'm so glad she said, "I may cry," because I was alone, and I wept at the awe and magnificence. I think no video can truly give one the same view as in person, but I appreciate how stellar this video is. Kudos and thanks.

I was there. The sky was cloudy and overcast for much of the day, so when the clouds parted during the few minutes of totality, it was one of the greatest moments. I love how the announcer isn't even aware the corona is visible as the camera pans up until around 0:38 when she says, "I may cry."

I was going to go to Beatrice but stayed in East Tennessee. I'm glad I did as at Fort Louden, we had no cloud obstruction throughout the entire eclipse and a slightly longer Totality. Yet I can see my fellow Huskers had a great time (I was born in Lincoln) but it would have been a waste of fuel and money. We seen more corona.

First of all it was not that dark outside it was like dawn and you could see everyone there, secondly they keep saying on the prairie, got news for you since I live around here it is just grass like anywhere else, and there is a huge parking lot with actual concrete and sidewalks and animals pay no attention to the sky they just kept on eating their grass. The eclipse was rather pretty when you could see it turn a blue color but it was rather boring waiting for it to happen

Does anyone think it a highly unlikely coincidence that the sun is 400 times farther away than the moon and the exact times larger in diameter, causing them to appear exactly the same size in the sky. God did this on purpose and for our benefit, so that we could experience a total eclipse and study and marvel at his creation. All glory to God!

Which one? Ra? Zeus? Odin? How about Allah? Seems 'he' is getting a big push around the world...I don't 'BELIEVE' in him, and consider 'him' (and Mohammad) religious fictional characters, like 'Zeus & Hercules (God 'father' and God 'son'), 'Odin & Thor' (God 'father' and God 'son') and 'Elohim & Jesus' (God 'father' and God 'son'). The thing is, NONE of them are real, the bible, Quran, Torah etc is all religious fairytales, and I would as soon believe that 'Jack In The Beanstalk' is based in reality/human history, than 'Davey And Goliath'.

The equatorial diameter of the earth is 12,756 km, while the polar diameter is 12,714 km.
