Absolutely. I used to hate cleaning but never thought that it could be so fun and satisfying. The thing is that is was hard before because I had no idea what I was doing, used wrong products and tools and I would get frustrated when I couldn't figure out how to get tough grease out or worse if i damaged something i was cleaning. But now that I know what to do I actually look forward to testing out new products and cleaning. It's actually so fun and satisfying to see something dirty get sparkly

Yeah a lot of US houses have been adopting this too, but it's still newer to us. It really makes cleaning the bathroom so much easier and feels a lot less disgusting because you can just scrub it down then rinse it away. You don't have to scrub it then go over it all again to clean it up..
So much of their building design seems better. She has popped out those floor drains to clean. The bathroom sink pipe easily disconnects. She has cleaned it and cleared clogs.

I hate when it's designed to be as efficient as possible but then forgets about when you'd have to clean it.. then that becomes such a massive chore you just don't bother even though you know you should do it and likely need to do it. I love that she shows the tools and products she’s using in the corner so we can see what she uses if we want to use the same stuff. It’s actually super thoughtful, I love it
for the refrigerator: if you have time put the shelves and trays of your refrigator into your dishwasher, it will get rid of all the hard surface dirt. In the meantime you can clean the inside of your refrigerator. Afterwards wash the shelves and trays with an antibacterial cleaning soap by hand and let them dry. They'll be crispy clean and hygenic.
@@mommyheada sorry to hear that Heather, I guess yours is an older model? Because most new gen dishwashers have several different programs you can choose from and the quick programs take up to only 20 minutes and usually get rid of the hard surface dirt.

Thank you for your brilliant cleaning tips, Aurikatariina. Like you suggested, I used oven cleaner to clean the tops of my kitchen cupboards and behind the fridge-freezer because, to be honest, they were filthy. It cut through the dirt and grease like nobody’s business, and made these horrible jobs relatively easy. I would never use it for normal cleaning jobs, but for the nightmare ones, oven cleaner is now my go-to.
Hi, I'm so sorry for your suffering. I have suffered from depression for 30 years and I just wanted to share one small tip. To be clear my depression isn't so bad now, but even when it was bad I would force myself to go into a room, usually the kitchen, and put just 10 things away. It might be things to go in the rubbish or recycling, or wash some dishes or whatever. Then stop. I found that doing that just once a day made a small difference and that motivated me to do it again and the next time I might not stop at 10 although 10 was always my goal. If you feel you have to do the whole room it's overwhelming but 10 things isn't. If 10 is overwhelming just try five. Sending love 🤗

Easy beats And "The Real Thing" by Russell Morris. Once I start playing it, I keep repeating it... And different beat, more 1970's hippy, Someday I'll Have Money by Spectrum. I bought cleaning products that are similar to what you use and I'm telling you ... fume free/no gloves needed oven cleaner is the bomb. I found a pack of 75 tear-away microfiber cloths in the automotive section of a big box store for just over $10. Scrubbers, including one for stainless, I was able to purchase in multipacks from the dollar ($1.25 now). Dish soap (I use Dawn), the proper scrubber, oven cleaner, and a scraper ... and done. Super clean. And I'm sold on a steel daddy (dollar store equivalent) for grout. Looks like new! However, I cannot imagine how expensive it is to clean like that. Just a deep clean of my kitchen took almost a whole can of oven cleaner.

Thank you Auri! For the first time in my life, I find cleaning relaxing rather than annoying and frustrating. Some people have a cocktail and watch a movie to relax. I have a cocktail and bust out the Scrub Daddy! Did I mention my house has never been cleaner?
Yeah knowing how to properly clean makes it so much easier and better. Like knowing to just give it time or utilize the proper tools changes everything. I've seen so many people scrub away at their ovens trying to clean them and I just mention similar to Auri's technique. Spray on the oven cleaner and *wait*.. go have that cocktail and a movie then come back and watch how easy it is to clean. Soak your pots and pans before scrubbing them and watch how easy it is. Don't just stand there working hard when you could be working smart.
@@Eventide215 I clean in cycles now. I apply cleaner and spread it around to the shower, sinks and toilets. By the time I'm finished applying, it is time to scrub the shower, then the sinks and counters and wrap up with the toilets. I have a similar routine in the kitchen...apply product to the sinks, clean the counters, give the sinks a good scrub and done! So easy and satisfying!
@@metalcatmom5891 Yeah for the most part when cleaning you start with the dirtiest part and just get that soaking in whatever cleaner necessary. Then move on to actually cleaning the lesser things that don't need any extra time. By the time you finish that you'll very likely be ready to wipe down the things you were soaking. Doing it efficiently like this I've seen people cut their cleaning time down from hours to minutes. I've seriously seen people scrub their kitchen for hours to clean it.. and I take about 20min to clean mine (that's after waiting for oven cleaner, if used). Like you said, it makes cleaning easy and satisfying. Also something you can easily keep up on because at that point you can take like an hour to clean the house, if that.

I don't know if everyone knows this, I just found this tip for cleaning microwaves. Put a glass of water in with lemon or vinegar. Press about under 1 minute. If the crud is not moist enough to fall off, turn it on again. Then viola, it comes off, easily, no problem.
I do this too! Though I usually do it for about 3-5 minutes depending on how dirty my microwave is and then I let the hot steam sit in the microwave for a couple minutes before scrubbing, it makes just about everything come right off
@@juif4642 at least for me the acids like the lemon or the vinegar is usually enough to get rid of anything and the heat of the microwave will kill the mould
I think what you're doing is brilliant. There are so many people who need your help and you're an angel that swoops in and helps them to make their lives better. I'm so inspired. inspired enough to use your techniques to clean my own home. Our home isn't that dirty, but we are on a well and have horrible lime/calcium staining problems. We also have stainless steel and grout that is horrible no matter what we do. I'm willing to try anything. So, today I bought the paste, a lot of microfiber cloths (because I hate waste!) on a tear-away roll (who knew they made such things ... find them in the automotive section in the US), a dryer lint cleaner to get in the tracks at the bottom of our shower doors (no way to reach them without taking the entire door off), oven cleaner and dish soap (which we needed anyway). I'm so excited to deep clean our bathrooms I can't stand it! The only thing I didn't purchase was the scrub mommy/daddy line because they are so much more expensive for what appears to be relatively the same product at a fraction of the cost. May not last as long, but I have all of the cheaper equivalents, so we'll see.
You are an inspiration! I've had rentals and cleaned rentals. I've seen some really bad stuff! I dreaded having to go clean folks messes up! I sold my rentals and quit! I've seen some bad bad stuff! Aces to you! I could never do this again personally. I've had roaches and fleas attack me, mice running over my feet, found huge snakes folks had as pets left behind, one place was literally covered in blood! Ceilings, walls, floors.. handprints in blood everywhere.. I called the police to come see it.. looked like a clear murder scene! After an investigation.. They figured out the man whom lived there was killing dogs. It was dog blood everywhere! That's the day I quit! I still have nightmares of what I saw! I'm all about helping folks but I just can't in this area anymore! God bless all!
I LOVE your videos. I wish the US had bathrooms like these. Where you can just spray the whole thing, and not have to worry about laminate flooring and drywall.
I just have to say I love how the bathrooms there are all inclusive with the shower and the drain in the floor. It must be SO much easier to keep things clean that way. I love the washer in there as well.

I think the reason people thought you were somehow setting up the places is that the homes you work on are homogenous-in the US, for example, you could not really go from home to home and see the same sink, washer, cabinets, etc. Thanks for all your hard work!

I always wonder how much time the different cleaning steps take. For example removing trashes in a living room or in the kitchen. In one video you said that sometimes it takes you about 6 hours just to clean the dishes. So if you scrub the sink, the floors or if you clean a fridge, how much time do you need for these steps?

The glad "press n seal" works great as shelf liners in the fridge. Sticks to the glass well, when spills happen, just change out the plastic!

Yes! I use dish soap to clean my shower now. Works great! 🙂
If you rub plain soap on your mirror and buff it off, you won't get mirrors fogging up with long showers.

I found a pack of 75 tear-away microfiber cloths in the automotive section of a big box store for just over $10.
Scrubbers, including one for stainless, I was able to purchase in multipacks from the dollar ($1.25 now).
Dish soap (I use Dawn), the proper scrubber, oven cleaner, and a scraper ... and done. Super clean. And I'm sold on a steel daddy (dollar store equivalent) for grout. Looks like new!
However, I cannot imagine how expensive it is to clean like that. Just a deep clean of my kitchen took almost a whole can of oven cleaner.
So many incredible and helpful tips for deep cleaning everything around the home. I’ve started using dish soap for many cleaning tasks and have purchased myself a squeegee.

Thank you Auri! For the first time in my life, I find cleaning relaxing rather than annoying and frustrating. Some people have a cocktail and watch a movie to relax. I have a cocktail and bust out the Scrub Daddy! Did I mention my house has never been cleaner?
Yeah knowing how to properly clean makes it so much easier and better. Like knowing to just give it time or utilize the proper tools changes everything. I've seen so many people scrub away at their ovens trying to clean them and I just mention similar to Auri's technique. Spray on the oven cleaner and *wait*.. go have that cocktail and a movie then come back and watch how easy it is to clean. Soak your pots and pans before scrubbing them and watch how easy it is. Don't just stand there working hard when you could be working smart.
@@Eventide215 I clean in cycles now. I apply cleaner and spread it around to the shower, sinks and toilets. By the time I'm finished applying, it is time to scrub the shower, then the sinks and counters and wrap up with the toilets. I have a similar routine in the kitchen...apply product to the sinks, clean the counters, give the sinks a good scrub and done! So easy and satisfying!
@@metalcatmom5891 Yeah for the most part when cleaning you start with the dirtiest part and just get that soaking in whatever cleaner necessary. Then move on to actually cleaning the lesser things that don't need any extra time. By the time you finish that you'll very likely be ready to wipe down the things you were soaking. Doing it efficiently like this I've seen people cut their cleaning time down from hours to minutes. I've seriously seen people scrub their kitchen for hours to clean it.. and I take about 20min to clean mine (that's after waiting for oven cleaner, if used). Like you said, it makes cleaning easy and satisfying. Also something you can easily keep up on because at that point you can take like an hour to clean the house, if that.
@@Eventide215 why are you acting like a fool, actually you look like that, you just talk about the house, it's clear you've never brushed your teeth, and I know the teeth are clean your teeth with a brush and a board or whatever I call you anyway, I'm smart about cleaning not like you just for home haha.

I don't know if everyone knows this, I just found this tip for cleaning microwaves. Put a glass of water in with lemon or vinegar. Press about under 1 minute. If the crud is not moist enough to fall off, turn it on again. Then viola, it comes off, easily, no problem.
I do this too! Though I usually do it for about 3-5 minutes depending on how dirty my microwave is and then I let the hot steam sit in the microwave for a couple minutes before scrubbing, it makes just about everything come right off
What if you have a bit of mouldy food in microwave stuck on there? Would you use any sprays or?
@@juif4642 at least for me the acids like the lemon or the vinegar is usually enough to get rid of anything and the heat of the microwave will kill the mould

I think what you're doing is brilliant. There are so many people who need your help and you're an angel that swoops in and helps them to make their lives better. I'm so inspired.
inspired enough to use your techniques to clean my own home. Our home isn't that dirty, but we are on a well and have horrible lime/calcium staining problems. We also have stainless steel and grout that is horrible no matter what we do. I'm willing to try anything. So, today I bought the paste, a lot of microfiber cloths (because I hate waste!) on a tear-away roll (who knew they made such things ... find them in the automotive section in the US), a dryer lint cleaner to get in the tracks at the bottom of our shower doors (no way to reach them without taking the entire door off), oven cleaner and dish soap (which we needed anyway). I'm so excited to deep clean our bathrooms I can't stand it! The only thing I didn't purchase was the scrub mommy/daddy line because they are so much more expensive for what appears to be relatively the same product at a fraction of the cost. May not last as long, but I have all of the cheaper equivalents, so we'll see.

You are an inspiration! I've had rentals and cleaned rentals. I've seen some really bad stuff! I dreaded having to go clean folks messes up! I sold my rentals and quit! I've seen some bad bad stuff! Aces to you! I could never do this again personally. I've had roaches and fleas attack me, mice running over my feet, found huge snakes folks had as pets left behind, one place was literally covered in blood! Ceilings, walls, floors.. handprints in blood everywhere.. I called the police to come see it.. looked like a clear murder scene! After an investigation.. They figured out the man whom lived there was killing dogs. It was dog blood everywhere! That's the day I quit! I still have nightmares of what I saw! I'm all about helping folks but I just can't in this area anymore! God bless all!

I LOVE your videos. I wish the US had bathrooms like these. Where you can just spray the whole thing, and not have to worry about laminate flooring and drywall.
I just have to say I love how the bathrooms there are all inclusive with the shower and the drain in the floor. It must be SO much easier to keep things clean that way. I love the washer in there as well.

I think the reason people thought you were somehow setting up the places is that the homes you work on are homogenous-in the US, for example, you could not really go from home to home and see the same sink, washer, cabinets, etc. Thanks for all your hard work!

I always wonder how much time the different cleaning steps take. For example removing trashes in a living room or in the kitchen.
In one video you said that sometimes it takes you about 6 hours just to clean the dishes. So if you scrub the sink, the floors or if you clean a fridge, how much time do you need for these steps?
