  • Everyone knows Durdle Door in the beautiful county of Dorset. Maybe they don't say it right, Maybe they don't even know where it is. But they've seen it. And with awe inspiring looks like this they remember it.
    If you want to buy the childrens book Scary bones meets the dinasours of the jurrasic coast then here is the link and by the way it's not an affilliate link so I will not make a penny from it.

    Thanks Joe.👍 Such a beautiful place. Lulworth cove was one of my mum's favourite places. I love that little cove on the other side of the door. A lot of stunning coast all close to each other.👍

    As a keen photographer Durdle door is always on my list of places to visit when we're on holiday or an extended weekend trip. We park in Lulworth cove and then walk to durdle door, though these days it's takes us a lot longer. Such a beautiful place, just sitting on the beach enjoying the scenery. Great video and information. It's Thursday evening when watching this, we've always called it Durdle Door, but getting there from Lulworth cove is always referred to as " Doing The Walk". Have you ever visited Moreton.

      @JoeCoastal  4 месяца назад +1

      No I've not been to Moreton although a friend of ours goes there quite often so I've heard it's lovely. I don't know many people who can "do the walk " as you put it without stopping for breather at least once. It's quite a stiff one.

      Hi Marilyn. It is an amazing place. I had cause to visit once shortly before a thunder storm. I can't tell you how eerie it looked. It seemed to glow against the dark sky. Truly a magnificent place.

    This video brings back fond memories of my fave holiday back in 2019 when I stayed at Lulworth Lodge.
    I did two trips to Durdle Door... with the second during sunset.
    I even took a boat ride out of Lulworth Cove for a different perspective on the world famous landmark.
    Funniest (& scariest) moment... sitting on the cliff edge overlooking DD when the biggest hornet ever flew up the cliff towards me. I think it poss took a like/dislike to my red T-shirt as it chased after me! The other people there thought it was hilarious!

      Hi Andy. I like your story. I remember wearing a yellow jumper man years ago that seemed to be very popular with wasps so i feel your pain.
      It looks so different from the sea doesn't it. Doesn't stand out so obviously. Ive had the pleasure of passing it coming from weymouth a few times and somehow I never quite spot it. Hopefully I'll get to paddle through the door on my sup at some point. The next video will be Lulworth Cove so you may enjoy that one too.

      @@JoeCoastal yes definitely. This year we'll revisit a couple of placee on West Penwith and the Isles Of Scilly. And next year we will complete the Cornish coast. Then we should take in Minehead to Westward Ho! which we skipped from the start and then it is the coast from Plymouth and up. All depending on health and fitness 😁🦵🫰🏼
