agreed, tie downs attached to the bit... yuck, all he does is bump himself even when he's giving to the pressure.
@@hoofgirl31 yea the noseband is waaay to low, they use cruel metal nosebands that are extremely painful, ect. I'm just happy he's in a much better place now
@@Gaia369 if you watch the previous video Erin directly states she does not condone the training methods but it wasn't her horse and not her culture.

It is a sad clip, they keep bumping his nose and he's desperately trying to turn his head in far enough to relieve the pressure and extreme pain. I agree with you there, but it doesn't mean she condones the training method or would ever use it herself.
Yes I agree. I lived in Spain for 13 years and rode for 10 in a Spamish yard some of those horses got so overworked poor things and so mistreated in that heat too... wasn't good conditions

I really like the fact that he's not afraid of the lunging whip. He respects it, but he's not moving in a panicked way when it's laid across his back. That shows what his experiences with the whip are.
I HATE WHIPS TRAINED EVERY BREED OF HORSES FOR 45 YEARS WITH ALL MY HORSES? WHIPS ARE FORBIDDEN AND EVEN IN RACES THEY'RE ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY WHEN YOU SPEND THE RIGHT TIME AND COMMUNICATION WITH ANY HORSE 🐴🐎 THEY DESERVE REGARD YOU EARN EVERYTHING THEY'LL BRING YOU OR FORGET IT
@@pamelabrigham5605 Yes and no. I don’t like them when they’re used for pain. But for signals? Yes. They’re very useful. It’s like an extension of your arm. You can use whips without causing pain. This video is a good example of that.
@@brianabowen1673 I Trained racehorse for Boeing Sr and started riding at 2. GOD is 💯 enough for every horse 🐴🐎 I fired every rider that didn't listen when I said NO WHIP JUST HAND RIDE 😂🐱 MEOW MEOW LV GOD'S BEAUTIFUL HORSES AND ALL HIS CREATIONS LOL BLESSINGS
@@pamelabrigham5605 I’m not just gonna take your word for it. I don’t like crops. I don’t like using them. I’ve never enjoyed using them. Lunging whips? Dressage whips? They’re fantastic if used correctly. No pain, just an extension of your arm. That’s what I agree with. But to use them for punishment? I don’t agree with that. I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t totally agree with it. And I don’t believe in god. So that line holds absolutely no weight for me.

STUNNING! I can’t imagine how beautiful he would look in the little dressage buns (even though they would be pretty big and he doesn’t do dressage 😂)
I am SO glad he is going home with you, I don't love the methods they use in some parts of Spain, and I know you will treat him with the respect and kindness he and all horses deserve!
You are so sweet with him, it makes my heart happy, I wish everyone would treat their horses like you treat yours, you are a really empathetic horse person, and I admire the heck out of that!
What a sweet, beautiful Boi! Love his mane & tail... but the extra long forelock obstructing his vision is driving me flipping bonkers. 😆🤪 Seems like such a safety issue for both horse & rider. Congrats Erin! He looks like he was loved & treated very well. BTW: Most Spanish Pre horses usually only have their mane braided (plaited) less than halfway down, the remainder is loose. A much prettier look than the Fresian style full length braids. Day before a photo shoot would be fully braided & lightly sprayed with water to set the curls! PS: Hopefully things are starting to change for horses in Spain. 🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏 When Buyers refuse to buy from bad, abusive owners/trainers the word will spread! They need to ban the cruel, metal nose bands with spikes that hurt & scar their horses.

What did he do to deserve to be in jail, starring at white walls the whole day? even be tied up to the wall? He's chubby and the feeding position is way to high. This makes his back even more weak, like most spanish horses he already has a weak back. Also this thing being used when the guy was longing him, totally wrong way to do it, the horse either has pressure on the bit the whole time and he can't make his back round like we want them to, because he has pressure on there too..

Got some questions for Erin!!!! Q1: are you going to still teach him the tricks he knows? Q2: how will you teach him the tricks as he knows it all in Spanish and your not Spanish?? Q3: are you keeping his name or changing it? Q4: are you going to cut his main and forelock?

Buscador is wearing a serretón when we first see him int he round pen, right? Hopefully it doesn't have spikes, but it is still a metal band in their nose... Please correct me if I'm wrong. There are so much better alternatives...
I believe that one of the reasons Erin made her fine choice in Buscador is that he was fortunate enough NOT to have been abused with the spiked torture device.... look at him, his beautiful Spirit hasn't been broken!
Shame on those who do continue to use this barbaric serrato!! All the lovely horses that are, imo, ruined because of it 😥.. (like the others that Erin viewed:(( So sad.

I'm a bit sad about the fact that he is tied up in his box. The box is also quite small, without a window or even railings. Maybe this is normal in this region ... but not Erin's fault.

It depends.. a registered PRE with basic dressage, could start around 4000€ in Málaga (the equestrian center in the video It's there in Coín) but there are a lot of things to look in a horse and the price could reach 9000€ easily...or even more!
