What a sick game it was. No matter who was winning (wanted G2 to lose) loved the entertainment that game illustrated. G2 are in huge trouble. They're not winning cups aa they wanted but reaching playoffs, now even more critical getting squashed by two teams. Something isn't the same in this team, either the role switch or the players. Niko is the most inconsistent top level pro I've ever seen in my life, Also, Monesy didn't play bad, he was testing what happens if he doesn't play at all. Poor monesy his back is finally broken by carrying the old hags.
Yeah Niko needs to retire and accept the fact he will never win a major, he's ruining Monesy's chances of winning one.

@@XLBMummyXI agree that yekindar looks like a shadow of his former self but replacing him with Jks makes no sense. Yekindar is one of the most aggressive players (and entries). Jks on the other hand plays mostly supportive and anchor roles. That makes him by definition very passive and therefore unfitting for Yekindars role.
Wow! According to public competitive stats, this G2 team has the best rated player in tier 1 competition! I'm sure they are going to demolish these tier 2/3 teams in season play!

An absolute roller coaster of emotions, how in the goddamn G2. Hooxi and hunter having to single handedly try to save the team on the last map while the kept playing into the jaws of M80 was painful to watch. Well played to M80, slaxz deserves the win for the effort he put in to push them accross the line as an awper, and managed to keep G2 on the back foot for so much of the series.

Some brilliant insights by Ynk and Maniac on vertigo and I think thats exactly whats wrong with G2. Their Tactics and macroplays are horrible, but the individuals always bail the team out. If hunter didn't catch swisher like 3 times in a row it would've been a much faster win for M80. Niko needs to take a break like simple or just retire, I don't know what the actual heck hooxi and taz is cooking behind the scenes but it hasn't worked. Hooxi gets exposed for the 700th time but this time m0nesy didnt bail him out.
Hooxi acutally owns e.g. Inferno tactical wise, the problems are niko and nexa + an inconsistent hunter. If Hooxi is close to his top fraggers (and this match he dropped 37 kills) then its not his fault. No idea what Taz is doing

Exactly. They have insane talent on the team.. but at the same time that works against them. Mostly monesy needs quad kills to win rounds. If not it’s Niko and hunter. Teams like Faze and Vitality (especially Faze) have such good teamwork and ditch ego because they all want to win more than anything else. Karrigan can go 5 for 20 but all those deaths are trades or better. Experience and maturity just end up beating raw talent. G2 is missing that.

You know how people say 'pick your own fight', G2's conviction with that 'Exhibitionist' posturing and positioning, for every round there is to come, is quite admirable. What is actually the climax before the suspense is, that their opponents always just rise up to the occasion-- and we really see beautiful counter-strike omg! I cannot imagine the pressure anymore, since I feel like they are catching not the best, but all the worst in people in this league omg!

It's not just m80 even mongloz and every other team that you can imagine is considered
I don't think M80 played that well. It's not like they did an S-tier team performance against G2. They did well, but mainly because G2 went B-tier performance. G2 played noticeably worse than yesterday when they played against The Mongolz.
Tbh they were good but this is literally worst G2 performance we saw in years and even with that M80 had problems to close the game. (I'm speaking objectively, I'm not a fan of any team)

Every player is a good player on G2, In some games it’s more evident one or another. The problem is that they are not performing consinstently individually. Also sometimes hooxie has bad positions, but there isn’t anybody you have to kick or swap, just make a better environment and circumstances to get the most out of each individual player
I think G2 just need to run 3 IGL while still having Niko call, will work this time for sure.

He jiggles two players, he smokes correctly, but instead of immediately walking towards ct/orange box side, he walks backwards playing exactly behind smoke, realizes "wtf am I doing I am gonna get spammed." tries to pull out knife and go left to not get spammed, but m80 player insta tap through smoke because hes so exposed. honestly a basic mistake by niko.

Why is the M4A4 being used again nowadays? Did something happen that I don't know?
Given the new loadout system, pros equip both the m4a4 and m4a1s to use in different situations. m4a4 is mainly used by B anchors as of now since they have to defend sites and rushes etc...and the extra bullets are a great help in those situations.
@@chubamoa3640 Interesting, but... I don't know. For me, the A1 has too many raw advantages compared to the A4's sprayability. When going up against armored players, you need all the advantage you can get I feel like. Obviously they're pros so maybe they know stuff that I don't, I don't know.

Niko just doesnt know how to play vertigo, but for t1 its still not acceptable, even good old hunter runs much better. And its not just bc of this match, hunter just really know whats going on, but niko looks like faceit lvl 10 playing vertigo maybe 10th time in last 3 months. A bit disrespectful for rest of the team. Also nexa should go if g2 wants to win something. Hooxi isnt a problem if half of the team doesnt play well
I would first like to say Monesy is my favorite CS player and by no means do I think he’s G2’s problem in general, but why are so many people commenting about needing to get him to a better team after a series where he was non-existent in both map losses, he legit bottom fragged as the awper in a deciding map

No it's not , he's still top 5 riflers , his team is not respecting him enough , they need to set him in situations where it's 50/50 and he will win them easily , instead of that we always have nexa ending up in 1v2 , 1v3 situations and he can't clutch those rounds obviously , Nexa's playstyle is ruining whole team , everyone performed good when jks was around.

Ik people will say its hooxis fault but imho atm hooxi plays better than 3/4 of this team and thats not a good thing when you're supposed to have 3 top 20 player's. Hooxi was never the problem imo. Since jks’s departure sometimes its nexa who couldn’t fill the shoes of jks anchoring but most of the time its hunter and niko not showing up in important games
