    Wonderfully explained it is really helpful. I had insufficient knowledge about this.
    I've some confusions here.
    (1) My 4 independent variable have Sig. value of .000 but 1 independent variables has sig. value .396 what should be done in that case *note* I've only one dependent variable?
    (2) How do we know that which values 1 tailed >0.05 or 2 tailed >0.01 should we use?
    (3) Which tables and test should be included in results part? I've added demographic correlation. After this video I'll be able to add regression table as well. Is there any other table that should be included apart from these?
    I'm stuck on results and reporting part of my paper.

    Good content ! Thanks I find it helpful , Sir I have one question regarding the regression analysis intercept (constant )
    What is the meaning of the negative sign for intercept (-0.91015) what does this negative sign indicates ?
    Y (dependent variable)= -0.91015 + (1.25* X1) + (0.25* X2) + (1.56735 * X3)
    Does negative sign play any role while interpreting the result for dependent variable?
    Is the model good fit ? if all the P values , t values and R square values are in limit and these values are perfectly fine.
    Can please clarify the same Thank you so much

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 года назад +1

      Contingent to the dependent variable, a negative intercept should not be concerning. In simple terms it means that expected value for the dependent variable will be less than 0 when all predictors are set to 0.

    • @prayankagm
      @prayankagm 2 года назад +1

      @@researchwithfawad Thank you so much for your response, you have mentioned that, negative sign of the intercept is not a concern.
      Although can you please tell me that if all the P values , t values, correlation between variables is positively moderated (above 0.5) and R square values are in limit and in acceptable range
      then is the model considered as good fit between independent variables and dependent variable ?
      Thank you so much for your guidance in advance

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  Год назад

      Unstandardized beta is in the units of the response variable and represent the change in the response variable associated with a one-unit change in the independent variable, while standardized coefficients are in standard deviation units and allow for the comparison of the strength of the relationship between the response variable and each predictor variable.
      You can use both.

    Thank you for your videoes! I have a question though - if i want to analyse the survey responses from qualtrics in a regression analysis in SPSS (mainly using net promoter likert scales in my survey), how do I take an average response to get you your predictors of interest? So, I have 3-4 questions linked to each variable that i want to measure, so I need to find å way to find the average response on each topic/variable so i can run it in the analysis!

    • @researchwithfawad
      @researchwithfawad  2 года назад +6

      Thanks for your interest.
      You will need to take the sum of the individual items. Let say, i have Organizational Commitment measured using 4 items COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4
      If you have it in SPSS,
      Go to Transform -> Compute Variable
      In the Target Variable Enter the Name of the New Variable that is to be created based on taking the average, let say COMM.
      In the numeric expression type in
      Mean(COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4)
      Press OK. The new variable is created at the end of the Data View and is also visit in the variable view. You have now composite score for each respondent that you can use in regression.
