- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected calls from protesters for his resignation, claiming early elections will benefit Hamas and jeopardize negotiations for the release of hostages. While Netanyahu gave an address, hundreds of anti-government protesters blocked roads in Jerusalem.
We talk to Simon Mabon, Middle East analyst at the University of Lancaster, about developments in Israel.

October there were about 1.2k deaths but Israel at the sime time killed over 31k people, mostly of them women and children, how sadly. Many are wounded or without legs in young ages. Don't be naive. I support this but I don't have the need to go to the streets and shout in support of Israel like an infant girl. We all know this is the only way this violence will stop. Palestinians had to be under complete control.

Here are the facts:
* Netanyahu made a power grab attempt BEFORE October 7th and the people recognized it for what it was: his attempt to move closer to a dictatorship and keep himself out of prison. Over one million people were protesting for months on end regarding this and there was no end in sight. The military was even threatening to not protect the country if he didn't step down.
* When the war ends, his problems become front and center again.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Netanyahu has a vested interest in the war not ending. The only person delusional in this thread is YOU!
