I kid you not, I had to enroll my dog in a sniffer school- they said she had exceptional skills. We go on missions all the time! Plus every day at home, I *HAVE* to set up games that involve letting her smell something, then I hide it. She sits in her spot, gets her signal to go- and off she bounds to sniff three stories of dangerous house! 9times out of 10, she makes a beeline straight for it, even if it’s far, far away, under a ton of stuff!! If we DON’T do this daily, she gets melancholy and bored!! She loves hikes in the forest too…. hoovering it the whole time lol 🐕🦺
This video shows amazingly, how much we can learn from our friends with 4 legs.They can 'talk' to each other in many ways, and at the end there always is a friendly solution for everybody. Misunderstandings at the beginning don't really matter, if everybody cares about the other one then. This is valid for dogs - and humans. Great message, 'COcker Spaniel' from Germany. 😉🙋♀️
Yes, I completely agree, CS! It is important to communicate and share our concerns and arrive at a solution that makes everyone feel respected and comfortable. Dogs know how to listen to each other, and we should too!
And then there was my beagle CHARLY. She was sweet but not to bright. A lone coyote came up my drive and CHARLY wanted to play. The coyote just rolled his eyes and walked away. I said he’s not your friend CHARLY. She’s gone now and I miss her. RIP my dear one. ❤️
Hahaha Oliver has the same reaction my beagle has whenever he finds some new dog at the park. Loud and powerful barks until doing a little bit of reassuring sniffs.

Oliver always watches everything very carefully, quickly thinking, what to do and was scared for a moment, of course. But he quickly discovered that there was no danger at all. He then showed immediately, how happy he was, and the other dog was friendly, too. He probably suddenly saw that he was 'playing' with the cutest and most adorable Beagle. I think Oliver becaume surprised and scared.. but then assessed the situation once his adrenaline calmed down.. probably because the dog was black oliver didn't see him till the dog was right in front of him.
Oliver you brighten up my emotional day today. A brave 31 year old firefighter was killed on Sunday doing his job. He was from my little beach town outside NYC and the community came out in force to support the family. Our community was hit so hard on 9/11 we lost so many firefighters that day. I was sad when I came home, then I noticed a new Oliver video and it gave me some needed joy. Keep them coming. Thank you Scott and Wayne for sharing Oliver with us.

Oliver was guarding his turf, the park. It's interesting how dogs intincts initially take over and not processing that a fence is keeping the other dog where he is. The other dog seemed calm because he's probably seen dogs in park before. Maybe Oliver can revisit and they can sniff through the fence.
