    Dry fly fishing with a light fiberglass rod. Doesn't get any better than that! And a bonus with that bunch of Kokanee. Really good day on the water for you and Jeff.

      I like bass fishing with my fiberglass 4wt

      @McFlyAngler  5 лет назад +2

      Yeah guys, nothing better than dry fly fishing, especially with that rod! And killer! You are crazy man! How do you get out your bass flies? LOL. So much easier with a fast action rod that is maybe 5-6wt, possibly 7wt

      @bigpapi3636 5 лет назад

      McFly Angler I used to only own one fly rod, an old Sabre fiberglass that was really heavy and mushy casting. Trying to cast a streamer of any size you could see it zipping by at about ear level. Thank goodness for graphite!

      Yes for streamer fishing I totally agree!

      It really is... except the dead of winter, and also when it’s blown out (usually late spring). But it’s really a great river for sure! Too bad it’s got so much heavy metal in it, I’d love to live on the river...

      I’ve had people come down on me before for giving away exact spots. I even had death threats once. So... I can’t do that. Sorry. However much of the info that will help you locate these spots is in the Video.

    Fun video! I had no idea Kokanee was in the Dolores! Have you caught them when they are not in spawn? I have caught plenty in Navajo and are GREAT cooked on the grill!

    • @McFlyAngler
      @McFlyAngler  5 лет назад

      They aren’t in the river unless it’s spawn time. They go down to the McFee reservoir except this time of year.
      Glad you liked the video! Yeah, I’ve caught a few durning the salmon run at Navajo lake, they are pretty good for sure!

    Great video, thanks. Heading to So. Colorado for the fist time and your videos have been a great help in learning the area. I am going to try using my gopro 7 for the first time, if you don't mind me asking, how do you get your underwater shots, they add a lot ? Do you use two cameras or just switch one around ? Thanks very much
