That camera looks good at night. I really want a dash cam with back up cam in my car. The hardest part is picking one. I'm really considering this one. It's in my online cart at best buy right now. Lol So glad you went through all the features too! Thanks
I like that the icons in this particular unit are coloured. All other ones that I saw in others' reviews were just icons with no colours. Nice review too!
Thank you for this video. My wife also has a Kia, so this was very helpful. I mounted the camera in the same spot you did. Lucky for me, her model has a panel that pops off the top of the hatch to allow me to run the camera cable through the left side wiring harness to where I can avoid the sticky stuff and access the cable from the bottom of the weather stripping to run the cable along the same route you did. Install is super clean. Also, for anyone who is reading this: as helpful as Rexing support is, they don’t really know the specs of this product. They will tell you it’s only 1080p front and back, but just like in this video, it is 2K capable in the front. They will also tell you that this unit has a super capacitor instead of a battery. Both specs (2K and battery) are clearly stated on the box. I’m not sure anyone there has actually seen this product. That being said, I have a V1P Pro as well and support was very helpful when I needed a warranty replacement.
Can you do a video on the smart drive features and while driving? There really is no reviews on these features and I would like to see how it works. Great video!!
Looking at purchasing this dash cam I'm using the V1P and it's not as great as I thought which is hardwire so I am hoping that the m2 mirror will connect right up and not have to re- hardwire my 2019 camaro again.
Thanks for the video. I could not figure out how to set up the smart : the set up requires that you align some kind of horizon, sides, hood lines while driving on the highway. Highways here are far too busy to do that without risking someone’s life.
The fact that you had to "lower" the rear view mirror makes it a deal killer for me. I am 6'1", and I always move the mirror as high as possible so that I can see through the windshield.
I have the rearview mirror cam installed but during the day, it is SO hard to see because of the glare. Do you know how to fix that? I can't find any anti-glare film for the size of mirror it is
I love the M2, but feel like the rear cam shows up too dark inside. I have the brightness set to the highest, but it still seems dark, so I am trying to get used to that. Also, the vehicles that appear in the rear cam look so much farther away versus the driverside rear view mirror, which is deceptive. Is there a way to adjust that? That is actually harder to adjust to, than the dark image I have in the unit inside. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
It has been a complete mission for me to find the right dash cam because I keep running into the wrong ones that do not fit my comfort and working environment. What do you guys recommend? I get that connects your phone has rear and also a good regular Dashcam.
Hi. How is this operating now? 2023. Is not still powering and function ok? I had bought a VanTop h612t. It looks just like this. Same thing. Mine worked ok for a year and then started goofy power problems. The issue was with the pins in the USB mini power plug. Is this one better?
does this have endless recording like if it was security camera at front door? while driving and parked? good lord where do i store the saved recordings or how does this work?? im trying to find best dash cam from bestbuy this is listed
What rear view system would you recommend for a 2021 Ram Promaster City van with no rear windows? An actual mirror is not required, so I would like a 12” screen like the Rexing M2, no back up lines needed as it does have the stock back up camera. I just want a full time camera so I can see my blind spots, which in a van with no rear or side windows is a lot!
You said it was a normal mirror also but it seemed so blurry to me, is there a plastic film covering the mirror ? I did not see a crystal clear image coming off the mirror ?
Your point needs to be emphasized. Just because it reflects really doesn't speak to how good it is and this one is really no different than some others, it is 'blurry' and does not do the job a glass mirror does, especially at night.

@@PuJolsLol the only one I found was the Rexing M1 Pro, and even that's questionable. When I went to the Rexing website it said it was a Supercapacitor, but on Amazon it said it was battery. Anywho, I tried it out and the first one kept rebooting Everytime the door opened and closed, I turned off the G-sensor and it still did it. I returned it and got a 2nd one and it rebooted randomly and when it did it at night, it was borderline blinding cuz it was full brightness during the reboot. So I returned that one. Finally, the 3rd one I got, still said battery in the box as well and the random rebooting continued even though it was hardwired to the SUV. Texting has no clue and couldn't provide help as to why or how to fix it, so I returned it as well. I still don't have a dash cam since that day, but I'm still searching and I haven't found one with a Supercapacitor yet. However, some of the newer ones coming out, they don't even have a battery at all. It's just USB charger and if you want parking detection, then you just hardwire it to the vehicle. So I might try one of these newer ones without a battery, just haven't decided on which one. Sorry for the long reply, but hope it helps and saves you some headaches.
